liana's pov

"Okay so we can't be cooped up in the house all day and it's nice out so how about we all take a walk into town and shop or get some food or something?" I suggested.

Trina, Kennedy, Nella, the boys and I were all hanging out at Nella's house today but we had been inside the dark living room for too long.

"You actually want to go outside? Wow, Luke must have really done something to your head." Kenz said with a laugh.

"What can I say? She's a changed woman now." Luke joked. They all laughed and I rolled my eyes.

All of us besides Kennedy and Michael stood up to get ready to leave. They were basically a couple now. All they did lately is hang out together and stay inside watching Netflix, snacking, singing together or playing MarioKart.

"How bout we go now because I'm getting hungry and I wanna grab some lunch." Trina said with a hand on her hip.

Ashton looked down at Kenz and Mikey who were still lazily and obliviously sitting on the floor, staring at Michael's phone and said, "What? Is the D-deficient duo not coming with us?"

Nella immediately dropped to the ground and started laughing uncontrollably.
"I may have just peed." She squeaked.

"It wasn't even that funny." Calum mumbled.

I leaned my torso forward and with a confused face said "D-deficient duo?"

"Yeah, you know because neither of them get much sun so they're probably deficient in Vitamin D, and there's two of them so it's a duo. Also, that was an alliteration." Ashton explained matter of fact-ly.

"Okay." I said while nodding and slightly laughing.

"You're such a nerd." Michael said to Ashton. "And yes, we are coming. We just had to finish something on my phone."

Then, they both stood up and joined us. We walked out of the house and into town, stopping at a coffee shop for food and drinks, and then a few stores.

The other day, I had just thought that Luke and I were doing better than ever and had a close to perfect relationship, but today he was seeming a little distant again. I decided to not overthink it. Maybe he was sick or something. So, we continued the rest of our day like normal.

We were in a small gift shop now and Nella found a floral scarf and decided to put it on Ashton.

"Nell, I am not wearing this any longer!" Ashton said, acting mad but smiling.

"But it looks so goood!" She whined.

He took it off anyway and Calum, Luke, and Michael laughed at him.

Despite Luke not acting as focused or affectionate, he bought me a pretty bracelet at the gift shop.

Calum and Trina mostly hung out in the corner laughing at or making fun of funny greeting cards.

Kenz looked at purses and stationary and Mike stood there bored with his arms crossed, yet occasionally staring at Kenz and smiling. They're so cute.

We eventually walked back to Nella's house and watched TV for a bit until one by one everyone started to leave. Kenz and I were the last ones left to leave, so I decided to talk to them about Luke.

"Did he seem a bit, I don't know, off to you two today or was it just me?" I asked.

"I didn't notice anything." Nella said with a shrug.

"Actually yeah now that you mention it. He seemed a little weird. He mostly seemed just tired though. So that could be the reason." Kenn said with a small forced smile.

"I guess. Thanks." I replied.

"Just don't think about it too much. You guys seem to be doing great and it was probably nothing." Nella assured me.

"Yeah. You're probably right." I said after taking a deep breath in.

"Well, you know what? Just don't worry about today, but if he's like this the next time you two hang out or even the time after that, then you might start having to investigate." Kenz suggested.

"True." Nella spoke while pointing at Kennedy.

"Got it." I said with a smile and a nod. That was a good plan, but Nella's probably right. I'm sure today was just an off day for him. There's nothing at all to worry about.
