Part 1: 7

luke's pov

I was at band practice with the boys and got a text from Liana. We had been occasionally texting each other for a little over a week. I was starting to like her, maybe even more than a friend. I wasn't so excited about that idea, but I wouldn't let anything bad or too serious happen. We had a lot in common, music and style wise, and she was gorgeous, funny, and smart. She helped me with Chemistry a few times now  and I've actually started to do better in that class since we started doing that.

I stepped aside to look at my phone and text her back. Calum noticed and said, "Who is it? You never text people during practice!"

"Uh it's Liana." I said, somewhat quietly.

"Oh that explains it." Ashton playfully scoffed.

I rolled my eyes.

"What is going on with you two anyway?" Michael questioned, while narrowing his eyes.

"Nothing!" I shouted defensively. "We're just friends. Barely actually. We're more like acquaintances."

"Ok. Whatever you say." Michael said sarcastically as he laughed.

"I don't really care. Just don't let a girl distract you from the band." Calum said sternly. Jeez, sometimes he can act like such a buzzkill. He's too serious.

I texted Liana that I couldn't talk right now because I was at band practice and that I would text her later.

"So, speaking of Liana, are we ever going to meet her? I mean, besides from in school." Michael queried.

"You're still talking about her as if I'm dating her. Which I'm not. Also, you did meet her. At Haley's party." I informed him.

"You expect me to remember any of that night?" He laughed.

I rolled my eyes.

"I haven't even hung out with her outside of school or that party, so you're definitely not going to before I can."

"Maybe all of us can hang out with her and some of her friends someday. That'll make it a less awkward first hang out. Some of her friends are kind of babes so I wouldn't object." Mikey suggested.

"Yeah maybe."

"Okay guys. Calum is right. No more distractions for now. Let's get back to work." Ashton demanded, but politely.

"Do we ever get real work done though?" Michael said under his breath.

I let out a chuckle.

After practice was over, I texted Liana back. "Hey I'm done with practice. What's up?" I sent.

"I was thinking of having a group hang out at my house next weekend. Not a real party, just a little get together lol and you can bring your friends/bandmates" Liana texted.

"Oh that's funny Michael and I were just talking about doing something like that soon. I'll check with the boys but most likely we'll be there."

"K see you then :-)"

liana's pov

I invited Luke to a little get together at my house. I figured we weren't close enough yet to just invite him over here one on one. So I invited a few of my best friends and told Luke he could invite his friends too. To be specific, the friends I invited are my friends that used to imitate 5sos with me, and Luke was inviting the rest of 5sos over. Only somewhat planned. I actually almost didn't plan a hang out at all, but Kenn and Nella motivated me to, since if I do like Luke, I can't only see him at school and over text. I was a little nervous but I figured it would be fun and interesting. Luke and I get to hang out, my friends and I get to know Luke's friends better, and Luke and his friends get to know my friends better. Not long after I sent Luke the text invite, he replied asking for specifically what day and time I was thinking. I told him probably Saturday afternoon-evening if that worked. He said that he was looking forward to it and the band said that they could come too. I already knew that Kennedy, Nella, and Trina could come so our plans were all set and ready. I was feeling so many different emotions about it, but mostly excited and nervous.

A/n: I'm sorry if this Fanfiction sucks so far. It's my first fanfic I've ever written and it was kind of rushed. Also, I will be adding a cast list soon. As usual, you are absolutely free to imagine the characters however you want based on their descriptions (obviously 5sos would be 5sos though), but the cast list will just kind of be loosely how the characters are supposed to look in my head.
