Where's my Love by SYML
liana's pov
I woke up Saturday, at first forgetting what had happened last night. For a second I thought maybe it was just a bad dream I had. But no, it really happened. I wondered if I had been too harsh, hitting him. Then I thought no, he deserved it. He was being such a jerk about not telling me what was wrong, and then about bringing our friends. I understood that he probably had some major issue that he didn't feel comfortable talking about, but he still didn't have to be so mean about it. Did he not trust that I would understand or could help him? I thought he loved me. He had said that he was keeping secrets to protect me, but I had heard that before and I knew that's just a coward excuse. Keeping someone in the dark does not protect them. All it does is draw a wedge between the person keeping the secret and the person not being told.
We're done. Stay away from me he had said. Was this the end for us? Or could this be fixed? Calum had said that Luke didn't mean what he said. That something was probably wrong with him at the time. I hoped to God that Calum was right. Maybe Luke would realize his mistakes and apologize. And then eventually we could work things out. I just hated so much the way we had left things last night. I felt so grateful to at least have a bunch of really good friends on my side.
I lied in my bed for a few hours after I woke up, crying on and off, and playing on my phone to distract myself. I wondered if I should text Luke, asking him if he could talk. Instead, I texted Calum and Michael in a group message.
"Have you guys talked to Luke since last night?" I texted them.
"I texted him hours ago, no reply." Calum said.
"Ugh" I sent back.
"Have you texted or called him yet?" Michael asked.
"No idk if I even should like I wanna talk to him but maybe I should give it some time"
"Yeah I'd just not talk to him the rest of the weekend maybe" Michael said.
"Unless you really want to talk to him soon. You're gonna have to face him at school Monday either way" Calum sent.
"Ugh oh yeah" I replied.
"So what do you thinks wrong with him" I asked.
"Idk probably some mental issue so I get that he wants some space" Calum said.
"Yeah he was totally not himself last night idk what's wrong" Michael texted.
"Well I hope he gets better I just wish he wasn't so mean about it" I sent.
"Ik it sucks but it'll be ok" Michael said.
"Yeah at least u still got us" sent Calum.
"Thanks guys" I replied.
"If it makes you feel any better, if he treats you bad again, we'll consider kicking him out of the band" Calum said.
"Lol thanks you guys are so great"
"I prob like you more than Luke anyway ngl" Michael texted.
"Wow nice I'm honored" I replied. These guys are so nice and supportive I feel like I don't even deserve them. I did hope though that this whole situation wouldn't break up or affect their friendship and musical relationship with Luke. I'd hate to see that happen.
"Yo I told Ashton about what happened last night and he said he'd go to Luke's house today to talk to him and maybe make sense of last night. Apparently he knows more than we do and Luke trusts him more than us um ok?" Michael sent.
"Omg ok hopefully he can help Luke and figure this stuff tf out" I sent back.
"I'll keep you updated" he replied.

About twenty minutes passed and Michael texted us saying, "Ashton stopped at Luke's. The boys not even home wtf"
"Where the hell could he be" I asked.
"Idk maybe somewhere reflecting or something & hopefully not hurting himself or anyone else"
"Ugh yeah" I said.
Well this was just great, no one could talk to him because he wouldn't answer his texts and he wasn't home. I just wanted to know that he was okay, despite the fact that he hurt me last night. I figured I'd just let it go for now and spend the day being lazy and watching YouTube and Netflix to get my mind off of things. Luke wasn't worth spending all my time worrying about right now.

It was now Sunday and still no word from Luke. I had decided to actually text him just, "hey can we talk", but as I expected, he didn't reply. Michael and Ashton even tried calling his host house's landline in addition to his cell. No answer from either. It was as if he'd just disappeared. He was gonna have to face a lot of shit at school tomorrow since no one got to talk to him this weekend.

Now, it was Monday. None of us had heard anything from Luke since Friday night when he kinda broke up with me. We figured we'd all see him at school though. I was wrong.
Michael walked into math, without Luke and Luke never even came into class after him. "Where is he? Is he skipping class?" I asked.
Michael made a confused look and shook his head. "No I don't think he showed up to school at all today." He answered.
"What the hell? Is he just avoiding us or did he like take a random vacation that he didn't tell anyone about?" I said.
He shrugged. "I don't know. But if we don't see him all day, we could technically file a missing persons report. I don't know of anyone who's seen him since Friday. So, technically we even could now. It's been 48 hours."
"Missing? Is he even missing though? He probably just ran away for a couple of days to clear his head. Would going to the police be a good idea?" I asked, worrying about getting him in trouble with the police.
"Who knows? Maybe it's the only way to find him." The pink haired boy said.
"Maybe." I replied with a sigh and turned back around to face the board.
