Liana and I were going on a date.

It was actually happening.

I don't know why I was so nervous. I've been on plenty of dates. She was special though. If we kept dating, I knew I'd have to let my guard down. I just didn't know how yet. She didn't seem to notice yet how guarded I was. At least I don't think she noticed. So I didn't have to worry about it too much. It was just our first date. I didn't have to tell her all my secrets and everything I went through. I could keep everything mostly surface level for tonight and just have a good time. I took some deep breaths before walking out the door to go pick her up. This was going to go great and as long as I told myself that it would, then it would.

I got to her house and she was already waiting in the garage. She was dressed casually, but she looked beautiful. Her dark hair was flowy and shiny and she was smiling her big, adorable smile.

We went to the movies and saw a silly comedy movie. Then afterwards, we went to a not too casual, but not too fancy Italian restaurant. While we were there, Liana said, "I've actually never been on a date before, so this is new. I like it."

I was a little surprised. "Really? I'm shocked."

"Why?" Liana asked, confused.

"Well because you're so amazing and all, like, I don't know how you've never had a boyfriend or even been on one date. They're missing out." I said.

Liana smiled and blushed, looking down at her food. "Thanks."

"Okay since you've been the planner and inviter for every time we've seen each other so far, I think it's my turn to finally invite you."

"Okay. To what?" She asked.

"Just like a casual hang out date at my house maybe next weekend?" I suggested.

"I'll see if I can, but absolutely I'd love to." She replied, her brown eyes sparkling in the warm and dim restaurant lighting.

"Cool." I said, a little shyly.

A/n: Sorry the chapters are getting shorter lately and that I don't include much information about what goes on during weekdays. They mostly just go to school and have some casual conversations, so nothing too interesting. I guess you'll just have to use your imagination to know what happens during the times I don't describe that much. I hope you're enjoying it so far
