Roslyn by Bon Iver & St. Vincentliana's pov
Michael was right. We couldn't just forget about finding Luke. He was missing and we needed professional help. So, we filed a missing persons report. The police asked us all questions, posted notices, and started to attempt to find him. I wasn't really sure how they planned on finding him though. He could be anywhere and I don't think he wanted to be found. The cops had called Patty to notify her of him being missing. Her and Rosie had extended their out of town family visit so they were still gone. She was clearly very upset and worried sick since she had no idea that he was gone. Apparently, she had spoken on the phone with Luke Sunday and he had lied and said he was home and perfectly fine. How terrible it had to feel, to be looking after some foreign teen boy who's not even yours, for ten months to only leave him home alone for a week or two, and then find out he's gone missing. Patty said that they would come home as soon as possible to help in the search for Luke.
Earlier, Ashton had told us (us as in Nella, Kenz, Mikey, Cal, Trina, and I, and not the cops) that he actually did know parts of what was going on with Luke. He wouldn't even tell us what it was though.
"It's some real serious shit, and I don't think he'd be comfortable with me telling you guys. It's not my secret to tell!" He had said.
"Ash! Then how are we supposed to find out and help him?" I yelled.
"I'm sure we will find him soon and he can tell you himself when he's ready." Ashton declared.
"So you don't know where he is?" Michael had asked.
"No! Of course I don't! He hasn't talked to me since Friday either. Trust me, I would tell you if I knew where he ran off to. He's probably just hiding somewhere where he thinks he's safer. Away from us." Ash had said.
"How can we trust that you would tell us that when you didn't even tell us that Luke had something serious going on that could put him or others in danger?" Calum asked.
"Cal, it's not like that." Ashton had said, defending himself.
"Um, yeah, Ashton. It's exactly like that." Trina had said.
We were all kind of mad at Ashton for not telling us that there was something wrong until now, but I felt relieved he at least told us something. I just really wanted to talk to Luke and make sure he wasn't in too much danger. I hoped we could find him as soon as possible and that we could make up and figure everything out.

My feelings had been weighing on me for days. I couldn't let this thing with Lynnie last any longer. I still wanted to be her friend, but I had to let her know as soon as possible that I couldn't be involved with her romantically. I didn't want to give her the wrong ideas so I talked to her during school and asked if she could meet me somewhere quiet after school to talk. Lynnie lives super close to the school and her parents and sister weren't home so she said we could just walk to her house and talk there.

We walked onto her porch and sat down on her porch swing.
"So, what's up?" She asked.
"I'm sorry this is probably bad timing with Luke being missing and everything, but, uh, I just can't wait any longer." I paused. "Ugh, I don't know how to say this."
