liana's pov
Luke and I met at the mall on Friday around 4:00. I hoped he didn't think this was a date. We were just hanging out. Two friends can go to the mall together and have dinner there, so I shouldn't have been worrying about that. I was thinking about actually asking him out though, if he didn't ask me out soon. I might wait a couple days, or even more than a week, but it all depended on how today would make me feel.
We met in Best Buy because that was one of the stores with an outdoor entrance and Luke said he needed to get something for his laptop from there.
"So where do you wanna go next?" Luke said as we walked out of Best Buy.
I shrugged and smiled up at the tall boy. "Let's just walk and go into whatever decent store comes up."
"Sounds good." Luke nodded.
One of the next stores was Pacsun. "Ooh can we go in here?" I asked.
"Yeah." He answered.
I ran up to a super cute shirt and quietly squealed. "Ugh I have to try this on!"
"Do you have to try everything on? Can't you tell if it fits by holding it up or looking at the size?" Luke asked with genuine wonder.
"Stupid women's sizes are all different and sometimes things will fit but still don't look right. It's a difficult process. That's why it's easier just to get oversized or 'guys' clothes because then it doesn't really matter how it fits."
"Oh." Luke laughed and nodded.
I got into a dressing room and tried on the shirt. When I walked out, I was pretty sure already that I was going to buy it, but still I asked Luke "How does it look?" I spun around so he could see all sides of it.
He smiled and gave a thumbs up. "You look," he paused and stared a bit and said, "amazing. You should get it."
"Thanks. I'm probably going to get even more things from here though because there's a giant sale. You really have no idea what you got yourself into, do you?" I asked while laughing a little.
Luke was smiling huge and shook his head. "I guess not. I think I'm okay with it though."
"Okay. I'm just warning you. We might be here a while." I told him.
"Since you plan on getting at least a few more things here, how about if we play a game where I pick out an outfit or two for you? Then you can judge how good my fashion skills are."
"Sure go ahead. I'll stand right here and you bring me back two outfits. Let's see how you do." I challenged him, with my arms crossed.
After a couple a minutes, he came back with some things.
"Here's outfit number 1." He said and held up a black tank with thin vertical white stripes, and black denim shorts.
I nodded my head in approval. "Not bad. All black. You know what I like." I said.
"That's because it's what I like too."
"Okay, I'll try it on. What else you got?"
"Here." He said. He showed me a purple velvet skater dress and a necklace with an elephant on the end.
"Hmm." I said. "I don't know if I'd wear these together but I actually really like this dress and the necklace separately."
Luke looked proud. "Yeah I thought that dress was pretty cool. And I almost picked out an illuminati eye necklace, but I chose the elephant instead."
I chuckled. "I already have an illuminati necklace."
Luke laughed and shook his head.
I tried on the outfits he picked out and decided to just get the dress out of everything he chose. "Sorry, I just have a lot of similar stuff to this already." I said, regarding the all black outfit.
