liana's pov
We got to Australia safely and now were at Luke's house. It was strange but cool, now being at his actual house across the world instead of just being in his temporary place with his host family in America.
Luke's older brothers had both moved out by now, so it was just his parents living at his house now, and there was a spare bedroom for me.

Luke's mom greeted us at the door with a smile. "Hello, Liana! I've heard so many great things about you. And, wow, you're even more beautiful in person!" She said to me after greeting Luke.
"Aw, thank you, Mrs. Hemmings."
"Call me Liz!"
"Hahah okay." I laughed and said a bit awkwardly.
"I already got the spare room ready for you Liana, so you guys can go unpack now if you want."
"Cool. Thanks!" I replied.
We walked in and brought our stuff into our rooms.
"I'm gonna go pick up dad from the mechanic. He's getting his car fixed. I'll be back in about 20 minutes. Luke, please make Liana feel at home." Liz said.
"Don't worry. I will." He replied.
"So, um, what exactly does your mom think we're doing here? Just visiting right? You're not telling her about the ghosts or anything, are you?" I asked Luke after Liz had left.
"Yeah, no. I just told her I wanted her to meet my girlfriend and see her and my dad. Which is true, but I'm not telling her the paranormal aspect of it." He said.
"Okay. I gotta text Karena that we got here safely and I'm getting settled in."
I clicked on Karena's conversation and suddenly the screen turned green. What the hell? Then, my phone switched apps from messages to camera without me touching anything. So, I double tapped home and tried to get it back to messages. Finally I did, but then it started typing without me pressing any letters.
"Um, Luke. Look what my phone's doing. I'm a little freaked out." I said, concerned.
Then, my phone backspaced the gibberish it had typed, and started typing "stop.&/<}/ Go home,,Turn; back))72*6".
I shot Luke a scared and confused look and he looked equally worried.
Luke then gasped. "Do you feel that?"
"Feel what?" I asked frantically.
"A.... heavy.. weight.... my neck... I can't swallow... or.. barely.. breath." Luke said, labored and short of breath.
Then, I felt tapping on my back. I turned around, but no one was there. "It's her, isn't it?" I asked, trying not to choke up.
Luke took a deep breath. "Okay, I can breathe better now, but yeah. It's V." He nodded. "But don't worry. As soon as my mum gets back we're going to Ashton's uncle to pick up ghost hunting supplies and weapons, and then we're going to find what we need to salt and burn and we're going to end this."
I nodded, faked a smile, and hugged him.
