liana's pov

Luke had been transferred from the ER to the hospital and spent a couple days there as he got a cast, his crutches and his necessary drugs.

Today, he was finally home and was going to tell me about his whole situation that led to his injuries.

I met him at his house and he said we could talk while Patty and Rosie were gone for a few hours.

luke's pov

I was out of the ER and the hospital and was now at my host house with Liana, and I was about to tell her everything.

We met in the garage because to tell you the truth, I was still a little scared to go back in that house. I knew V wasn't tied to the house or anything in it, and it was just me she was following, but it was still sketchy to go in there since the first and the majority of my encounters with her ghost were in there so it brought back bad memories. Nothing bad ever happened in the garage so I felt more content here.

"So how are you doing? Did you talk to your family? They gotta be worried sick." Liana said, concerned.

"I'm okay. I shouldn't have the cast and crutches for too long so I'll make it through. And yeah, I talked to my mum on the phone. I could tell she was really scared and worried, but she mostly just yelled at me for not letting Ashton look out for and protect me as much as she told him too." My mum was used to having herself and my older brothers looking out for me at home, but since I was going to be in America this year, and probably next as well, she wanted someone to protect me like a stand in older brother, and she trusts Ashton, plus he's the oldest of my friends, so she put him "in charge".

"Well he has been kind of taking care of you hasn't he? He's the only one that knows what's been going on and he got you the ambulance when you called him."

"Yeah I know. He has been a lot of help. And my mum knows that too. It's just I shouldn't have refused his help by running away and hiding for three days. I should've just dealt like a normal person and accepted help. I was so stupid, going missing like that."

She sighed. "Yeah, you were kind of dumb. But hey, at least you called him when you knew you really needed him."

"Yeah. I guess." I said with a shrug.

"So are you ready to tell me yet?" She asked, scrunching her brow.

I took a deep breath in to calm myself. I prayed to God that Vanessa wouldn't make a guest appearance during this discussion.

"You know how I said my last girlfriend died?"

"Uh huh." She nodded with a sorrowful look on her face.

Then, I told her about how she died and how I've been blaming myself all this time and how I figured Vanessa probably did too. I told Liana that that's why I was so hesitant to date her at first and struggled to let myself love her, since I was so scared I would hurt someone like that again.

She assured me that it was just an accident and not my fault and that V probably doesn't blame me at all.

"Also, what does this have to do with you living at the park and falling off the toboggan chutes anyways?" She asked.

"Hang on, I'm getting there." I paused. "Well you know how you just said that V wouldn't have blamed me for her death?"

She nodded, looking confused.
