Fifteen year old Valerie was sitting quietly in her room. It was a peaceful, Saturday afternoon; well at least what was considered peaceful in the Scott household. Her four sisters, Lydia, Elizabeth, Katherine, and Aurora were screaming at each other, and had been for the past ten minutes. Her older brother Holden, was fighting with their father. And Mrs. Scott was yelling at everyone to keep quiet since she had a terrible hangover.
This all doesn't seem that that bad, but this isn't really what effects Valerie. No, she's used to it. It's just always how her life has been.
But in her fifth year, she branches out and befriends Sirius, Lily, Remus, and James.
Her life isn't exactly 100% better after meeting them, but it was a start.
