Riker's POV

"Hey mom I'm gonna go see Hanaa!" I called out, grabbing my car keys.

"Ohhhh no you don't." Dad grabbed my arm.

"But whyyyy??" I whined.

"We have band practice, and you have been there all week."

His voice was stern. I didn't argue and sulked downstairs.

Hanaa's POV

"I wonder where Riker is?"

I didn't get too much time to think about it, because there was a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I called.

Kristinne stepped timidly into the room.

"Today is my day off and I have nothing better to do, so I decided to come see you," she explained.

I sat up in bed. "Take a seat," I gestured to the one hard plastic chair in the room.

She sat.

"So Kristinne, how old are you?" I asked.

"Nineteen," she replied.

"I'm twenty," I blushed.

We talked for probably about two hours, then I realized it was almost time for the doctor to come in.

"Hey, it's almost time for my doctor to come in, so can I have your phone number?" I asked.

"Of course!" Kristinne cried.

We exchanged phones and put our numbers in them.

Kristinne started to leave, but I called after her. I had a plan.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No," she replied.

Perfect.

Hanaa's POV

I'm getting out of the hospital today!! I'm sitting in my room, with all my stuff, waiting for Riker.

Rydel soon comes in.

"Hey girlie! I came to pick you up because Riker couldn't be here," she told me.

My heart dropped, but I stayed smiling. My own boyfriend couldn't be here when I was getting out of the hospital?

Rydel checked me out and I said goodbye to Kristinne.

I sat at the Lynches all day without seeing Riker once. Until dinner.

We had just finished Grace when Riker burst in.

"Sorry I'm late. I was out with Curt and Titus," he said, sitting down next to me.

I know it's mean, but I ignored him for the rest of dinner, then climbed up on the roof when we were done.

After about 15 minutes alone on the roof, I felt a presence beside me. I turned to see Ross.

"Hey Hanaa. Riker was being a jerk for not coming to get you," he said quietly.

"I know," I replied.

After a few moments of awkward silence, I turned to Ross.

"Ross, I-"

I was cut off by his lips on mine. I quickly pulled back.

"Ross!"

"Well-"

"Just because I'm a little mad at Riker doesn't mean I'm not still his girlfriend!"

Before Ross could say another word I was off the roof and back in the house.

When I got inside, Rydel stopped me.

"Hanaa, Riker's crying," her face was a look of worry as she said it. "He mumbled something about Ross and locked himself in his room."

I gasped. He must've seen Ross kiss me!

I rushed to his room and knocked on the door.

"Riker, please let me in," I begged.

"Fine," he replied sharply.

He opened the door and burst out. "Why did you kiss Ross?!"

"I didn't kiss him! He kissed me and I pulled back and yelled at him!"

"Oh," Riker said. "My brother is a douche," he mumbled, then spoke out loud. "Sorry I didn't come pick you up. Titus came and dragged me with him and Curt. I kept trying to leave but they wouldn't let me so I finally called Rydel to pick you up."

"Oh." I felt equally as bad now, if not more.

Riker yawned. "I'm gonna go to bed."

"Night babe," I said. "Love you."

"Love you too."

He closed his door again and I went to the guest room, putting on my pajamas. I'm staying at the Lynches until my mom gets home on Friday.

I was in my room reading a book when Ross stepped in.

"I'm sorry I kissed you. It's just-" Ross sighed. "Kelly and Ellington have been so happy together, and you and Riker- I'm jealous. And desperate. I just want a happy relationship like you guys. Oh, not to mention Rocky and Livvie and Ryland and Kristie!"

"Ross, you'll find somebody, just give it time." I pushed him out of the room, smirking as he left.

Hanaa's POV

The next morning, I woke up with strong arms wrapped around me. I turned to see Riker. He pecked my lips and spoke.

"I missed you."

I smiled and told him about the conversation I had with Ross last night.

"What are we gonna do about it?"

"We are gonna set him up with Kristinne."

"The ER nurse?!"

I nodded, smirking.

"I like that," Riker told me.

"So let's get on it!"

I leaped out of bed and picked up my phone. I dialed Kristinne's number.

"Hey Kristinne? It's Hanaa. Wanna hang out today?"

"Sure!" she replied.

"Meet me at the beach at noon!"

"Bye!"

I hung up and ran out the door.

"Ross! We're going surfing!"

Ross's head popped out of his room.

"Be ready in 20!" he called.

By noon, we were at the beach and I was looking for Kristinne. I saw her and waved her over.

"Kristinne this is Ross, Ross this is Kristinne." I made quick introductions then turned and grabbed Riker's hand.

"Hey cutie," I heard Ross say.

Kristinne blushed, and Riker and I walked away, hand in hand.
