Riker's POV
We finally pulled away from the kiss. "I felt the sparks," we said at the exact time.
"Just like that time 4 years ago..." Hanaa said getting a faraway look on her face. "Can we go somewhere?" she asked.
"Sure," I said, grabbing her hand and pulling her up.
She pulled me along, picking lilies along the way. Soon we reached a hill overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful view, really. Hanaa went up to a small stone and placed the lilies in front of it, kneeling with her head bowed. I crept up and knelt down next to her.
I soon realized Hanaa was crying. Looking closer in the moonlight, I realized it was a gravestone for her little sister Lily. "Oh Hanaa!" I muttered.
She sniffled and looked up. "She was never the same after the accident. Mom and Dad recovered, but her little body couldn't take it. She died soon after we broke up." At this, she started crying harder.
I hugged her and rocked her back and forth. "Shhhh, Pumpkin," I used her pet name. "It's okay. Shhhh, don't cry, I'm right here. It's okay. Shhh." After 15 minutes of this she calmed down.
"She loved you Riker, you were her role model. She looked up to you. I never told her we broke up. It would have made her sicker."
"She was..."
"Seven at the time of the accident, nine when she died."
I unclasped my R5 necklace and patted it under a mound of dirt so it wouldn't get stolen. "For Lily," I said softly. "For Lily," Hanaa echoed.
We sat for a moment more, then got up and continued walking. After a bit, we came to a large rock.
"This is where we would always come to be alone when Ry and the others were bugging us," I reminisced.
"Normally we ended up kissing!" Hanaa laughed. I laughed along with her. She flopped down in the sand and pulled me down with her.
"What are we-" I was cut off by Hanaa grabbing my collar and kissing me.
I kissed back, just like the old times. Hanaa crawled into my lap. I had a hand under her back and one on her stomach. We kissed. She pulled back and laid her head on my legs. I propped myself up with my arms.
Hanaa pointed up "Orion," she said, pointing out our favorite constellation. "Seven Sisters," I pointed out another favorite.
We carried on like this until Hanaa fell asleep on my lap. I leaned back against the rock and looked down at her lovingly, stroking her soft hair.
I fell asleep with Hanaa curled up on my lap, my hand on her head.
