Hanaa's POV
As I got in the car and sped to the ER, I was still on the phone with Kristinne.
"Is he okay?"
"The worst he's got is a cracked rib. Nothing major."
I let out a deep breath. "Oh thank God."
"He can come home with you right away."
"Great. Kristinne, I just pulled in the parking lot. I'll be in in a minute."
I hung up the phone and hopped out of the car, hurrying into the building. Kristinne was waiting there to take me to Riker.
He was sitting on the edge of a hospital bed with a black eye and swollen lip. When he saw me he looked down. I walked toward him and gently turned his face toward me.
"Riker, what happened?" I asked.
He stayed silent.
"He wouldn't tell me anything either," Kristinne added. "But you can take him home now. Just have him take one of these pain relievers every night before bed."
I nodded. "Thanks Kristinne."
I led Riker out to the car and drove until we came to a small, secluded part of the beach. I stopped the car and killed the engine.
"Riker, please tell me what happened," I begged.
He dropped his head, refusing to make eye contact. "Fistfight," he muttered.
I gasped. "What?!"
"Some guys were making fun of me," he explained.
"How?" I asked. "What were they saying?"
He stayed silent.
"Riker, tell me."
"I told you, they were making fun of me!"
"How?" It was more of a command than a question.
His head dropped lower.
"For being in a Disney band."
"Oh Riker!" I cried. "Don't listen to them! They're just a bunch of jealous jerks."
"No, you don't understand." He looked up at me. "They were some guys from Glee."
