Hanaa's POV
My hands flew to my mouth and my eyes welled with tears.
"Riker...yes," I said softly.
Riker stood and I jumped into his arms. He spun me around on the stage then set me down. He gently slipped the ring on my finger. I looked down to admire it, then looked back up.
I grabbed Riker's collar and pulled him down to my height to kiss him. He was surprised at first but soon wrapped me in his arms.
I pulled back and put my nose to his.
Cheers erupted in the crowd. They had been so quiet I had forgotten they were there.
Riker and I stayed together, so Ross stepped forward to speak.
"Umm...I guess that concludes our concert..."
"We'll be in back for autographs!" Rydel cut in.
Ryland led the band to the signing table and I stood off to the side with him.
Riker was smiling bigger than usual, which made me smile too.
I had tons of fans approach me and ask for an autograph or picture.
After the last VIP came through the line, I helped pack up the instruments and we drove home.
My head was resting on Riker's shoulder and he had his arm around me.
I must've fallen asleep, because next thing I knew Riker was lightly shaking me.
"Hanaa, we're home. You've gotta get out of the car and then you can go right back to sleep," he crooned.
I woke up enough for Riker to lead me into his house then into the guest bedroom.
Riker tucked me tightly into bed and I drifted off to sleep. I faintly heard Riker singing a lullabye to me and smiled.
