A Different Kind of Devotion (R5 Fanfiction)

Kristie's POV

I woke up wrapped in Ryland's strong arms. I kissed him gently and his eyelids fluttered open. He grunted as a sort of good morning then rolled on his back, one arm still wrapped around me. I snuggled farther into his side and he held me close. I could hear the beating of his heart as I laid with my head on his chest.

"I had fun last night Ryland," I murmured. "Thank you. So much. And now I know you'd never cheat on me."

I looked up to see Ryland smiling down at me. He pecked my lips and spoke to me softly.

"You are absolutely beautiful, you know that?"

I blushed almost the color of my hair, brushing a few wisps of bangs out of my eyes.

Ryland picked up his phone and checked the time. "It's nine o'clock."

We both climbed out of the bed and trudged downstairs. Rocky was sitting on the couch and looked at us as we entered the room. He raised his eyebrows.

"What went on in there last night?" He asked.

I saw Ryland blush deeply. He adjusted his LA snapback and replied.

"We just fell asleep."

"Ohh," Rocky said. "I'm pretty sure we heard someone upstairs though..."

At that moment, Hanaa and Riker entered the room.

"It was probably us that you heard," Hanaa said.

Rocky arched an eyebrow, curious.

Hanaa sighed. "It's kind of a long story, but nothing happened, I promise."

Rocky nodded and went back to watching TV while eating cereal I hadn't noticed before.

After this little encounter, we all went our seperate ways and I ended up having a great day at the beach with Ry.
