Hanaa's POV
I heard Riker unlock a door, then I felt his hand over my eyes and he guided me forward.
"Okay," he said, removing his hand. "You can look now."
I opened my eyes, and they filled with tears.
We were in the locked room. It had been painted a pale yellow. Against one wall, there was a white changing table already stocked with diapers and wipes. I also saw a white crib with a musical instrument mobile hanging above it. There was a white dresser and Riker opened one of the drawers, revealing a ton of gender-neutral onsies. The curtains on the window were decorted with small yellow bunnies, and there were toys scattered throughout the room. Riker reached into the crib and pulled out a yellow stuffed bunny that looked like the one in "The Velveteen Rabbit".
I handed the rabbit to Lily and she made a noise and started to chew on its ear.
"She loves it as much as I do," I smiled.
I turned to Riker and leaned up to kiss him. "Thank you."
"I just want you and our baby to be happy," he murmured."Just being with you would do that," I promised.
He smiled, hugging me to his side and kissing the top of my head.
