Hanaa's POV

I took a deep breath, relaxing my shoulders. I was sitting in a chair in the small house by the clearing the wedding was while Stormie did my hair. She finished and I nodded approvingly.
My hair was pulled back tight, twisted into an elaborate bun. It had first been curled. Small white rose clips sat on my scalp while others were scattered throughout the complex knot of hair my veil would sit on.
It was a half hour until I walked down the aisle, so Kristinne helped me into my dress. I slipped on the white flats I was going to wear as Kristinne positioned the veil carefully over my bun. After we finished this, only ten minutes were left.
I fastened a silver charm bracelet to my wrist, jangling the charms. My dad stepped into the house to lead me down the aisle.
He kissed my cheek, whispered some encouraging words, then the rented organ started to play.
All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle, then it was my turn. I took a deep breath and stepped out the door.
As I started my way towards the altar, I saw Riker's jaw drop as he took it all in.
We reached the end of the aisle and Riker linked his arm through mine, my dad letting go and straying to his seat.
"You look stunning," Riker whispered.
We went through the whole ceremony, of which I do not have to go into great detail.
Finally, it was time.
"Do you, Hanaa, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the preacher asked.
I looked deep into Riker's eyes. "I do."
"Do you, Riker, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
I turned to Rydel to get Riker's ring, and when I turned back he spread his hand in front of me. I slipped the simple gold band on his finger, and he turned to get my ring.
If the engagement ring took my breath away, this one practically killed me.
It was a thick silver band with a large amethyst in the middle. On either side of the amethyst, diamonds were studded on the band, getting smaller the farther away they got from the main jewel.
Riker pushed it gently onto my finger. I looked up at him with wide eyes.
"It's beautiful," I mouthed.
He smiled and replied. "So are you."
The priest's voice cut into our silent conversation.
"You may kiss the bride."
