Hanaa's POV
I woke up the next morning to a light shaking.
"Hanaa," Riker cooed. "Hanaa!"
I opened my eyes and rolled over to face Riker.
"Huh?"
"Hanaa, it's ten o'clock, we're going to the beach."
I leaped out of bed, suddenly wide awake. "Oh crap! I totally forgot I'm so sorry baby I'll be ready in five!"
I raced to my bathroom, leaving Riker stunned in my bedroom.
Five minutes later, I came out of the bathroom wearing a pale blue sundress, deep blue bikini, and blue flipflops. In my bag I had a rash guard for surfing and I always carry and umbrella. Twenty dollars and a water bottle were tucked into the side pouch.
Riker laughed. "Is your new favorite color blue?"
I linked my arm through his. "I did this for you. Now let's go."
As we drove to the beach, the sky started to get gray and not so friendly looking. I leaned forward and peered at the clouds. "Riker, I'm worried."
"Don't be, we'll go home at the first sight of rain."
We got to the beach and surfed a little bit until there was a warning put out.
"Everyone out of the water!" The lifeguard boomed.
As soon as everyone was out, it started to pour. People rushed to their cars and I popped open an umbrella.
"C'mon Riker, under the umbrella!"
"No!"
He ran away from me and I laughed, chasing after him.
I reached him and looked at his face, laughing harder.
Water streamed down his face, plastering his hair to his head. His shirt was sticking to his body.
"C'mon Riker, let's go home, you're gonna catch a cold standing out here for so long!"
Riker looked at me and gently grabbed my chin with his wet hand. Then he leaned in and kissed me.
His lips tasted slightly salty, like the ocean water. When we pulled back I laughed and wiped my mouth.
"Come ON Riker, let's go!"
He spread his arms out, rain pouring over every inch of his body. "I'm having fun!"
"If I give you another kiss will you come with me?"
Riker turned to me and nodded eagerly. He came toward me and I grabbed his face, pulling him down to my height. I gave him a sweet kiss on the lips then pulled back and grabbed his hand.
We ran to the car together and Riker loaded the surfboards on top, then climbed into the drivers seat.
He smiled, shoving his hair out of his face which sent it sticking up in all directions.
I laughed, wrapping my spare towel around his shoulders. We arrived home and I put up my umbrella so I could walk next door.
As I was halfway down the sidewalk I turned back and yelled to Riker.
"Now go dry off, we don't want you getting sick!"
He waved and gave me a thumbs up, then we both raced to our house through the pouring rain.
