Hanaa's POV
"Ryland, what's wrong?" I asked, dropping to my knees in front of him.
He looked up, his eyes red and puffy from crying. "It's Kristie," he whispered.
"Guys, leave him alone," I herded everyone to the kitchen. I looked around at everyone, confused. "Where's Riker?"
"Asleep in his room," Rydel said.
"Okay, stay in here, be quiet, and don't bother Ryland."
I hurried to the living room, where Ry was still sitting on the couch. I wrapped him in a hug and he cried.
When he didn't have any tears left I spoke to him.
"Wanna talk about it?" I asked softly.
Ryland sniffled and nodded.
"K-kristie broke up with me b-because s-she thought I w-was ch-cheating on her," he stammered out.
"Oh Ryland, it'll get better!" I said, again wrapping him in my arms.
He started to cry again.
"Ryland, why don't you go up to your room and be alone for a bit."
I grabbed his hands, leading him to his room.
"Thanks, Hanaa. You always make me feel better."
I smiled, leaving Ryland on his bed, closing the door behind me. I heard it lock as I started down the hallway.
I reached the top of the stairs and turned to look back down the hall.
I crept to the door. The knob turned easily and I slipped into the darkened room.
