Chapter 25

Normal p.o.v

"You don't look happy to see me" I smirked at his remark as I began my jutsu. "I'm glad your alive Kabuto... Unfortunatly for you that wont be for much longer.. Water style: water dragon jutsu!" Before it was able to connect Kabuto sent it whirling back towards me. I jumped just as it crashed through the forest. Mid air his kunai met with my stomach, slicing it open. I collapsed to the ground at his feet, holding my wound. My eyes met his, or what used to be his. Half of his face now resembled Orochimaru's. He smirked at my gasp and his long snake like tongue emerged from his mouth to lick his lips. "What are you" He meerly chuckled before preparing to take me out. Wings emerged from my body as I began to transform. I blasted him with a fireball jutsu before flying a safe distance from him. I sensed his chakra behind me as I spun my blade in his direction. It came into contact with a clone and I activated my sharingan to locate him before he was able to strike again. "Amataseru!" Blood lined my cheek as he narrowly avoided the flames. Smugness turned to focus as he summoned forth Manda. I went to lift my sword only to cringe in pain and collapse to my knees. My mark slowly receeded as blood lined my mouth. I felt my body seize up and I barely found the strength to ask Kabuto what he had done. "It's very simple.. poison." His deep chuckle echoed as my brain raced with what to do. "Why... why are you-" "I plan to take over this world and I need a sacrifice for my edo tensei.. I couldn't think of anyone more suited" I cringed and gripped my stomach more as the pain became unbearable. He reached out to grab me but his fingers meerly grazed my arms as he was shoved away. I glimpsed my saviour before the darkness took hold.

I awoke to find myself healed and tucked into bed.. a bed that wasn't mine. I went to sit up but the pain became intense and a gentle hand pushed my back down. "K-kabuto!" "Shh.. it's alright I took care of him" I relaxed back into the bed and drifted back to sleep. It wasn't long before I was held captive by my reaccuring nightmare. "Noo!!" I jolted upright waking the man beside me. My pulse raced with my breath as a reassuring hand gripped my shoulder. "What is it? What's wrong?" Tears rushed down my cheeks as I buried my head into his bare chest. He slowly laid back down pulling me along with him. I felt my fears subside as soon as I was within his embrace. "Thank- you.... Sasuke"
