"Darling it's almost show time." Louis whispers in my ear. I snap my eyes open. He's leaning over top of me, a hand on my cheek another on my side. He smiles, planting a delicate kiss on my forehead. He stands up, and takes my hand, pulling me up on my feet. I groan, and try falling back down onto the couch but he catches me, laughing.
"Darling you have to get ready for the show." He whispers into my ear, smiling. I giggle childishly, still caught in my sleep high. He wraps his arm around my waist, running his fingertips over my back. I slouch against him, pouting.
"Do we have to sing tonight?" I ask, pressing my lips against his neck.
"Ha-ha, I wish not..." He sighs.
"Amber, Louis come on. Gotta get ready for the show to tonight." Liam knocks on the door.
"Ugh." I mumble against his neck.
"Come on. Lets get you to the stage." He laughs, taking a step towards the door.
"No. I don't wanna go." I whine, lifting my head up to face him. He knocks his forehead against mine, smiling.
"Come on..."
"No... I wanna stay here..." I whine again, pouting.
"Amber! Louis! Get your asses out here!" Marlene yells through the door, pounding on it with her fists.
"Go away." I yell, leaning my head back.
"No. Come on guys get moving!" She pounds harder.
"Come on, Amber." Louis whispers in my ear, pulling me closer to him. He picks me up, wrapping his arms around my waist. I lock my legs around him, hooking my ankles together.
"Come on guys!" Marlene continues to pound on the door.
"We're coming, Marie!" I yell back. Louis pulls my head to his, pressing his lips against mine. He continues walking to the door, and with each faulty step his arms wrap tighter around me. I dig my fingers into his neck, clawing my way higher up him. Finally he reaches the door and pulls away taking gasping breaths. He opens the door, to see Marlene and Liam standing outside. Marlene's hands are on her hips, and she's tapping her foot angrily.
"Amber! Come on we have to GO!" She yanks me down out of Louis' arms by my hair and drags me down the hall.
"Marlene let go!" I scream, flailing my arms as she pulls me backwards. Finally she stops pulling and lets go of me. I turn to face her, fixing my shirt.
"What the hell?!" She hisses in my face, barring her teeth.
"What?"
"We needed you out here twenty minutes ago!" She thrusts my mic and earpiece into my hands.
"I'm sorry! I was asleep! Louis woke me up." I hiss back, shoving my earpiece in my ear.
"Whatever! Come on, we have ten minutes before they begin letting everyone in, so ten minutes of rehearsals for us." She grabs my arm and hauls me backstage, where we find Luke and Cali waiting.
"Great timing, girls. Ten minutes to go. Get out there!" One of the sound people says, ushering us out onto the ready stage.
After practicing two of our three songs for the show, we're ushered back off stage as they begin to let the crowd enter the centre. Once backstage, I'm about to go find Louis, but Marlene hauls me back the opposite way.
"Nope, we can't be late again." Marlene hisses as she pulls me down the corridor to our dressing room.
"God I'm sorry, Marlene. Is it really that big of a deal?"
