"Goodnight darling." Louis mumbles into the pillow, his arm wrapped around me, hugging me against him.
"Goodnight Louis." I whisper snuggling back against him.
"It's not my fault, Marlene!"
"Stop being so selfish, Amber." Marlene huffs at me before walking away again.
I turn away from the stage, to stare at the wall behind me. I'm lost in my thoughts, when suddenly the girls screams around us get louder and Luke is grabbing at my arm. I turn back to the stage, and Louis is crumpled at the other four boy's feet. I scream and scramble over to the back stage wall, and run out next to them. Niall takes me in his arms, as I scream again, staring down at Louis, folded over in a puddle of his crimson blood.
I jerk awake, sitting straight up gasping for air. I look around the room, fighting for breath. I look down at the bed next to me, and see that Louis' gone. I keep repeating in my mind that it was just a dream, that Louis is okay, but I can't convince myself. Suddenly I hear a crash, and tears spring to my eyes and I jump. I kick my feet out of the covers, trying to get off the bed. In my fit, I fall to the floor on my hands and knees. I hiss, wiping away tears as I stand up. I run through the hallway to the spiral stairs.
"Louis!" I cry out, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Louis!" I cry out again, running past the couch. I run into the kitchen, and I'm met with his arms. He pulls me into a big hug, rocking me back and forth. I cry into his shoulder, wrapping my arms around him.
"Darling what's wrong?" He whispers after I've calmed down some.
"I had a dream... And you got shot... I woke up and you weren't there... And... And then I heard the crash..." I stutter.
"It's okay, I just dropped the glass. It's okay..." He keeps whispering into my hair.
"I love you Louis..." I choke out, pressing the heel of my hand into my eyes.
"I love you more than you could ever imagine, Amber. Always remember that." He smiles down at me. "Now, we're leaving for the airport at nine, so go get some rest. I'll be up once I clean this up." He taps my nose before turning back the broken glass on the floor. I glance over at the clock on the stove before heading to the stairs. 1:29. I slowly trudge back up the stairs, running my hand along the wall as I go. I crawl back into the bed, wrapping the covers tight around me. I fall back to sleep a soon as my head hits the pillow.
I lean against Louis as we sit waiting for the plane to take off.
"Still tired, are you?" Louis chuckles, stroking my hair lightly.
"I'm always tired." I sigh.
"And I'm always hungry." Niall laughs, plopping down into the seat on my right.
"How long is this going to take?" I ask, pulling my feet up underneath me.
"Once we leave only about an hour." Liam pipes up from behind us.
"And why can't we leave now?" I grumble.
"Because we're waiting for Marlene." I blink open my eyes, blinded by the sun glaring in through the window, and see Cali turned around in her seat facing us.
"Luke's supposed to be bringing her." She sighs, turning back to the magazine in her lap. I close my eyes but I'm haunted yet again by my little nightmare from last night. So I settle on staring out the little window down at the tarmac watching the little carts roll around with bags. Suddenly theres a commotion up a head in the plane and I set my gaze on it. Luke is struggling to get a flailing Marlene into the plane by pulling on her waist. She gives in and he hauls her over to her seat, apologizing to bystanders. He plops down in the seat next to her, blocking her from the exit. Everyone goes back to their conversations and soon enough the pilots announce take off. I lean back in my seat, resting my head on Louis' shoulder again.
