After saying goodnight to Louis and the other boys, the five of us trudge into our own room. Luke doesn't even bother changing, he just falls onto his bed. I grab my clothes, and head into the bathroom before Marlene and Cali can. I change out of my dress into my sweatpants and tank-top, brushing my teeth and washing my face. When I walk out, Marlene and Cali stand waiting.
"Took you long enough." Marlene huffs as she walks in. I ignore her, walking back to my 'bed' on the floor. I wrap my blanket tight around me, snuggling my head into the pillow.
"Amber... Amber..." Someone shakes me awake.
"Louis?" I hiss, rubbing my eyes. He smiles.
"Come on, Amber. Let's go on an adventure." He says, pulling on my arm.
"What? An adventure? At two in the morning?" I huff, pushing him away.
"But Amber..." He whines.
"How'd you even get in here?"
"I stole the key card from Paul." He laughs to himself.
"You are such an idiot." I mumble, rolling onto my side away from him.
"Will you go on an adventure with me." His breath hits my cheek as he leans over top of me.
"Fine. Fine. We'll go on an adventure." He smiles, and pulls me onto my feet. I grab a sweatshirt from my bag as we walk past, and pull it on over my head. We sneak out of the room, completely silent. But when Louis opens the door, it lets out an enormous screech, and we hear someone rustling in the beds behind us.
"Hurry go, go!" I whisper-yell, pushing him out the door, getting a sudden burst of energy. I run out behind him, closing the door. We take off down the hallway, our eyes adjusting to the sudden bright light. We stumble down the stairway, and down onto the next floor landing. I stop in my tracks, and Louis slams into me, nearly sending me down the next flight of stairs. I turn to him, and we both start laughing hysterically. Our relationship has involved a lot of running and hiding. When our laughing fit is over, he reaches for my hand and I let him take it.
"What happens if a fan or someone sees us?" I question as we begin walking through the abandoned halls.
"Hopefully they wont. And eight out of ten times they don't." He says, looking around a corner before we continue walking. We sneak down more stairs, until finally we reach the bottom floor.
"What are we doing?" I whisper as he pulls me towards the lobby. He doesn't answer, as he peeks around the wall and into the empty lobby. A lady stands at the counter, typing away at her computer.
"She's not going to let us just walk out of the hotel in the middle of the night." I whisper to him when he turns back to me.
"Especially if she knows who we are. Can you see out the doors over there?" He asks, pointing to the giant glass front doors. Looking out the glass, I can hardly see anything, except for a few girls standing in wait on the sidewalk.
"There are still girls out there." I sigh.
"We can sneak past them."
"How? And why, what are we going to do?" I question him.
"We're going to go for a walk, duh." He laughs, rolling his eyes at me over his shoulder.
"Well how are we going to get out there?"
"Don't worry, I've done this before." He peeks back around the corner. "Okay, here's our chance. The lady behind counter is gone, now go run!" He pushes me in front of him, and suddenly we're sneaking through the lobby towards the doors. The girls must see us, because they start jumping up and down.
