Chapter 31-- What Hurts The Most

~Ali's POV

We were in the the Coven's house. Vince and Agatha stayed with us, the others went to search and investigate on the things that attacked us earlier called... "The Shadows." I was in the middle of  Sagen and Ivan and it felt awkward actually. Theire eyes would just glance at mine at the same time and my heart would jst race. But I concentrated on Vince and Agatha. "The Shadows can't be back, impossible. They were all locked in the Darkia Castle." Jone said faintly. Kyle pulled Jone closer beside him. Is there something that I don't know?. "We can't do anything now... After hundreds of years---Crap." Sagen moaned. Now I was literally confused. "Waaaaaiiiit a minute, what are the shadows exactly?" I asked, budging in. Agatha sat on the chair, she looked seriously at us. Agatha and Vince shared a short sad glance. "The Shadows... Are very dark creatures. Actually before, they were white lights... They helped in maintaining peace around the world. Until, that time came when the lights suddenly turned into something we didn't expect... They started to take out souls." Agatha began. But then Vince continued.

"Before the shadows would kill the Angels who would cause all the mayhem... No one expected they were the ones who would cause it now. They would feed on souls to become stronger, until they would become unstopable. They killed many people from the years 1700-1730. They were stopped by Cillian Collins, a great dark angel... The Grandfather of Vince's Father. He died protecting everyone." Vince explained. There was saddness in their eyes, I guess some of them still remember the tradgedy. "Now, someone opened the lock. No one could get pass the gaurds, unless... They knew the one who it was." Ivan said.

I was so shcoked. I never thought that everything could get this big, I thought our trouble with Nathea was over... This was a bigger one. But why am I still alive? How? I saw the shadows go to me, so close. "How am I still alive?" I asked. Everyones attention was on me now. "Thats the thing we've been wondering." Kyle said. "They didn't do any harm to you, considering you were an inch close to it. Its such a puzzle. But still, thanks God your alive. And no one got badly hurt." Vince said and half smiled. "Now, the others are way on it. the only thing we have to do now... Is wait." Sagen said.

After a few minutes of the chit-chat, I went outside to breath some fresh air. "Alison." I heard Sagen's voice from behind. I turned around, I feel like this is gonna e one of those serious talks. And it was, by considering the look in his eyes. "I was so...," Sagen bit his lip before he copuld speak. "Worried." he breath out. He walked closer to me and wrapped me around his arms. "I'm okay." I whispered. As I opened my eyes, Ivan was there... Standing still as he looked at me and Sagen. I pulled away. Sagen turned around, "Lets go." Sagen quickly said and pulled me. "Don't pull her!" Ivan exclaimed, he quickly pulled me beside him in a flash. "You know what your the real trouble here! Bringing Alison there and letting her jump!"  Sagen exclaimed.  His eyes were getting red, even Ivan's. I don't like this.  Suddenly, the wind blew and in a flash both their wings flurred out. A fight?! "Seriously guys! Please stop! Please!  I don't like it when  you act like this! Ivan... Sagen... Please." I said. Their eyes were back to its color again... They calmed down. "I gotta go, please tell your mom and dad thanks." I said to Ivan. "Wait, I'll drive you home" Ivan said.

I could still feel  the tense between Ivan and Sagen. What would have happened if I didn't stop them?...

This is what hurts the most. Knowing I'm the cause of this. If only I could tell everything to Ivan... and If only it were easy for me to let Sagen forget me...
