Chapter  41

My eyes widened in confusion.  “That’s impossible! My parents aren’t Angels, fallen Angels or even Nephilims!” I protested. But I couldn’t deny the thought that maybe they were. Maybe they hid it all along from me to protect me from all this? “We need to find out the truth or else Reineldis might never stop.” Cedrick said. Vincent was silent, yet he just looked at me. “Father,” Cedrick called the attention of his dad. “What shall we do?” Ivan held me tight in his arms. “Does it still hurt?” Ivan asked.

“No, not anymore.” I answered holding him tighter.  Vincent glanced away from me and breathed in. “We need to talk to Alison’s parents, Alison, may we?” Vincent asked. I couldn’t honestly. If my mom knew I was alive, she’d be happy, yes, but for her to get involved in all of this? I am not letting that happen. I don’t want any more lives risked in this. I shook my head. “Alison, please.” Cedrick said moving closely towards me with his persuasive look. I can never imagine my own mother and father getting into trouble because of me but somehow I felt a feeling deep within me. “I promise we won’t let anyone or anything harm them.” Vincent seriously said. I trusted Vincent, he’s already like a father to me.

I gave a nod.

“Fine.” I agreed.

“Tomorrow we’ll be going to your home.”

I exhaled. “Okay, by the way, my dad won’t be talking to you guys”

“Why?”

I felt my heart ache. “He’s dead.” I chocked.

They all had this sympathetic look on their faces. I tried to ignore their reactions. My dad died when I was just 5 years old and even though I had no real specific close memory of him, I love him. My mother used to tell me how much my father loves me and how he'd hold me tight in his arms and teach me how to, write, draw and count.

“I’m sorry.” Vincent apologized.

“It’s fine.” I smiled.

~Next Day

"Wow," I gasped in amazement as we all stood outside the castle. The garden and the sun's light just filled beauty in the whole atmosphere. I looked at my angelic boyfriend. How perfect he was, how everything about him would make me fall in love deeper for him every day. He looked at me with the most hot badboy smile ever I never saw him make until now. "Never knew you had it in you." I teased. "I have my ways." He said still smiling. "Promise me something..." I began to say. He held my hand "Anything." He replied.

"We'll always love each other." I said pulling him closer beside me.

"I know it's gonna get rough through this but after this there's nothing stoping us anymore," Ivan said holding my face. "I promise." He whispered near my ear and he kissed my cheek. "Romance," A voice near us said. "Very beautiful and exciting. Now, you guys ready to go?" Cedrick said as he gave out a teasing smile. I blushed. "Yeah," Ivan said moving beside me. Vincent came from the doors and he walked straight infront of us. He wore a tuxedo. "Why so formal, father?" Cedrick asked. "We're gonna meet Alison's mom, a human. We need to at least give a good impression." Vincent replied fixing his tie.

We all held hands together. "Ready?" Vincent asked. We all looked at each other. I breathed in deep and exhaled. We gave a nod. All i saw were lights again, like neon lights.
