By the time your flight landed in Juneau, Bam Brown knew everything there was to know about you but you still knew practically nothing about him.

He spent the entire flight asking you questions about your family your home town and your budding career as a coffee barista. He raised an eyebrow when you said you didn't have a job lined up yet in Alaska, but everyone drank coffee so you were sure you could find a job in a coffee shop. He nodded and smiled and for every answer you gave him, he always had another question. When all was said and done, the only thing you could truthfully say you knew about him was that he was a really good listener. Well, and that he was beautiful. And that he smelled amazing.

"Do you live in Juneau?" You finally Bam asked the question you had been wanting to ask for over two hours.
"No." He replied and then closed his mouth. You waited. He waited. You smiled. He smiled.
"And...?" You prompted.
"And...no. I don't live in Juneau." There was that sly smile again.

"I lied to you, Bam." His eyebrows shot up and you leaned close and beckoned with your finger for him to move closer. He did, and when your mouth was nearly on his ear, you whispered, "I am a biter."
When you gently bit Bam's earlobe, he laughed and touched your cheek gently with one finger.
"I knew it."

"Where do you live, Bam?" You realized you were going to have to get really specific this with guy.
"I live about an hour outside of Hoonah. On an island."

He said this with no particular pride or bragging. It was just a statement of fact. A very interesting fact. And as you thought about it, it was the most romantic fact you had ever heard. Your mind swirled with possibilities of a sweet, private island date with a sexy Alaskan hunk of a man. You envisioned you and Bam walking hand in hand on the beach, stopping to share a delicious picnic over a campfire. Ahhhh. Heavenly.

"Maybe sometime I can come visit you on your island outside of Hoonah." You looked up into his eyes and saw his smile grow larger.
"I'd like that." Then Bam suddenly turned his head and yelled just past your ear. "Hey, Titus? Do you want to come see the island where I live?"
"Dude, that would be wicked! You have your own island?! Hey Sis? Did you know he had his own island?"
Titus was so excited and the only thing you felt was ticked off. So much for your private island date with just you and Bam.
"Yes..." You leaned over and looked out the window as the plane slowly taxied to the gate. "Yes. I knew that."

When the three of you filed off the plane, Bam joined you and led the way to baggage claim. You watched his trim backside as he and Titus kept up a steady stream of conversation about muscle cars and video games. Guy stuff. You kept up a steady stream of curses in your head that you had ever chosen to bring Titus along with you to Alaska. You moved up beside Titus and spoke loudly.

"I'll meet you guys there." You gave Titus a pat on the back and gave Bam a small smile. "I need to stop at the ladies room."
"Yeah, I need to go pee, too." Titus swung around and sped off in the direction of the men's room.
"Of course, you do." You muttered under your breath and trudged sullenly toward the bathroom.
"I'll wait here for you." Bam said from behind you as he slid his black bag off his shoulder and dropped it on the floor between his feet. Not waiting for your reply, he began digging in his pocket for his earbuds to listen to music while he waited.

It didn't take you long to do what you needed to do in the bathroom. And you had to admit you rushed it even more knowing that Bam was outside waiting for you. You stared at your reflection in the mirror and wished you had time for a complete makeover before you left the bathroom. But after washing your hands, you only made time for a quick lipstick check and made sure your breath was fresh before rushing toward the door.

Once you spotted Bam standing in the same place you left him, you deliberately slowed down and strolled calmly up to him. Lifting his head, he yanked the earbuds out of his ears and gave you a smile that spread all the way to his dark blue eyes. That funny thumping in your stomach returned and you looked quickly away to keep yourself from getting lost in his beautiful smile.

"Is Titus still in the bathroom?" You knew the answer to the question but you needed to say something to distract you from Bam's direct gaze.
"Yes." He answered. You were getting used to his one word answers so you didn't wait for him to say anything more.
"Alright. Hold on a sec." You turned and walked over to the door of the men's room. Pulling it open halfway, you yelled into the opening. "Titus?"
"What?!" Came the yelled reply from inside. "I'm not done yet!"
"We're going on to baggage claim. We'll see you there!"
"OK!" He shouted back. And then just as loudly you heard Titus say, "Hey, Sis! You should come see this!"

But you were already turning back to Bam and trying not to laugh at the shocked expression on his face.
"He'll find us. Let's go."

By the time Titus came running up to meet you in baggage claim, you and Bam were deep in a discussion about why coffee was better than tea and if you couldn't have coffee every day at least three times a day you didn't see the point in being alive.

"No, Bam." You shook your head at him, trying to make your point. "I didn't say people who drink decaf tea are slow; I said people who drink decaf tea move slower than people who drink coffee."

He wasn't getting it and his frown got deeper and deeper as the three of you moved toward the exit.

Standing on the sidewalk in front of the airport you faced the moment you had been dreading.
"We're going to get a cab and head into town." You looked up at Bam and tried to read his expression.

"Where are you staying?" Bam stared down at you with no trace of a smile. His eyes shifted from left to right, searching your face.
"Dude?! Do you have room for us on your island?" Titus yelled and gave Bam a light punch on the arm and grinned so big you thought the top of his head might fall right off.

Your heart leaped into your throat. You knew Titus was crazy. That was one of the things you loved about him. And you knew he wasn't shy. Normally you tried your best to keep him in check but this time, you were so happy with his question that you wanted to hug him. As you looked at Bam, it didn't take long for his expression to tell you how he really felt. His eyes fastened on you and his smile was almost as big as Titus'.

"Yes. We definitely have room for you on the island."

Man, that's so cool!" Titus was practically dancing he was so happy. "Wait." His eyes narrowed and he clutched Bam's arm. "How do we get to his island and how long is it going to take?"

Bam was so focused on your face that it took him a second to respond. He placed a hand on the small of your back and steered you forward as he lifted a hand to hail a cab.
"Just a cab ride, a ferry ride and a boat ride and we're there." He announced as the cab pulled up to the curb.

"I have to go pee." Titus announced.
