Bam slipped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you close. This first date was going really well. He had told you his day had been long and busy and asked if the two of you could stay in for the evening. He wanted to talk and get to know you. You snuggled up close to him and smiled sweetly into his face. That had been fine with you; it was exactly what you wanted. A quiet night talking with a handsome man? What could be more perfect? Bam leaned his head back a little. He was so relaxed and his eyes were half-closed.

But wait. Nooooo! His eyes closed completely and you heard a faint snoring coming from his lips. The snoring was coming from those pink, full lips that you had hoped to kiss deeply that evening.

"Dang." You sighed.

Gently lifting his arm from around your shoulders, you let Bam fall softly onto his side. The armrest of the couch was wide and comfortable. He would be fine there. You thought about getting him a blanket, but he was giving off so much heat you were sure he wouldn't need that. So you carefully slid to the floor and removed his heavy black boots, folding his blue-jean clad legs up onto the couch.

Sitting down on the floor, you watched Bam sleep. His eyes were moving behind his closed lids. He must already be dreaming. A lock of his curly hair had fallen over his face and you reached out to press it back behind his ear. When his eyes opened at your touch, he smiled and stroked a hand down your hair to your cheek.

"Sorry." His smile was sleepy and sad.

"It's ok." You pulled his arm down to wrap around your shoulder. "Sleep for a while. I know you're tired. I'll be here when you wake up."

"Thanks." Bam muttered drowsily and you smiled at the slurring of his speech. He was almost asleep again already.

You pulled your knees up to your chest and hugged his arm to you. Laying your head to one side, you breathed in his scent of...you guessed it; Rainwater and dreams.

You would definitely be there when he woke up. You didn't want to be anywhere else.
