Standing on the small porch, you watched Bam walk toward you. His head was held high and he was wearing his dark sunglasses to protect his eyes from the bright Alaskan sun. His long hair was pulled back as usual and the light breeze lifted it behind him like a curtain as he walked.

He was a handsome man, and his long hair only added to his good looks. Did Bam have any idea how much you wanted to run your fingers through his loose hair? Did he understand that you were jealous of the black hair tie that was able to spend all day wrapped around his hair?

"Since you're standing on the porch waiting for me, I take it you are ready to go." Bam smiled and slipped his hand behind your neck, pulling you toward him.
His lips were hot on yours and you opened your lips to his probing tongue. His kisses were sweet and urgent and always took your breath away. When you slid your fingers into his hair at the nape of his neck, you felt him stiffen against you.
"Why are you always grabbing my hair?" He tried to look mad but his smile gave him away.
"Because it's soft and beautiful and my hands can't help themselves."  You smiled.

Bam pulled your hands away from his hair and grabbed one hand, tugging you down the stairs.
"Is your door locked?" He asked before taking another step.
"Oh, no. I forgot." You jogged back up the steps and pushed open the door. "And I forgot my keys inside, so it's a good thing I didn't lock it."
Slipping quickly inside, you didn't see Bam's eyes roll or see him plop down on the bottom step. You also didn't see his tiny smile or hear him say, "Girl..." In that tone of voice that always made you tremble inside.

Spying your keys where you had tossed them on the table the night before, you made a quick jog over your lumpy throw rug. It was always a little bunched up on one side but you had gotten used to it and knew how to avoid tripping over it.

But not this time.

In your haste to grab your keys, your foot caught on the largest lump of carpet and your momentum carried you scarily forward. Everything happened so fast that you didn't have time to throw your hands out to catch yourself. Your eyes widened as the edge of the table flew into your vision and you barely had time to scream as your forehead connected solidly with the table.

Bam's head snapped up at the sound of the scream and the thud coming from inside your house. He was on his feet and running through the door within seconds. It took half a second for him to find you lying face up with your head twisted slightly to the side. Your eyes were open and tears burst out when you saw the look of concern on his face.

"I'm so sorry." You started to sit up but Bam held you down with a hand on your chest.
"Just lay there for a minute." His voice was so gentle.

You tried to shake your head and tell him you were ok, but the stabbing pain caused you to shut your eyes tightly.
"Didn't I say lay still?" Bam chided as he reached for his phone to call the ambulance. "Be still and I'll get someone here as fast as I can."

As he spoke quickly and precisely into the phone, you reached out with your hand to stroke the strands of his hair that had fallen over his forehead. Bam smiled and moved his head, letting his lips press against your hand. Moving your hand down, you began to twine your fingers in his long, soft hair. Bam clicked off the phone, smiling as you tried to push your fingers into his hair.

"You just never stop, do you, girl?"

This time, instead of moving your hands away, he reached back and pulled the black hair tie from his hair, letting the long soft strands fall forward. Bam moved his body over yours and swung his thick hair forward, letting it fall over your face and into your waiting hands.

"Are you happy now?" He asked with a grin.
Letting your fingers roam deep into his hair, you smiled and sighed with happiness. Bam's hair felt just as soft and fluffy as you always dreamed it would be.

"Except for the fact that I have a bump on my head the size of my fist and I may pass out soon, Yes, Bam. I'm completely happy."
