Ch 24: the perfect battle plan

"You fucking liar" Naruto hissed angrily in his ear.

"To 5 more minutes...." Sasuke grumbled putting his dino over his ear. He soo didn't want to deal with an angry naru this early in the morning when he only got like six hours of sleep.

"Hell no Ke you lied to me!" Naruto whisper snapped. Naruto was furious. Sasuke lied to him last night. Orochimaru and danzo went after him and he didn't even tell him?! What the fuck!?

Sasuke groaned and sat up on his elbows with a sigh. "I didn't want you to worry all night...." Sasuke said shrugging slightly. Well it was the truth. Partly.

"Let me see it" Naruto commanded full Hokage tone activated.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow at Naruto. "You are going to have to be much more specific or we are going to have a very awkward situation in the next ten seconds" Sasuke said. He knew he was stalling but he couldn't help it.

Naruto scowled a bit and Sasuke flinched as danzo reentered his mind. Sasuke had been lucky to make it out of that clearing alive. If he hadn't been training his speed he would be done for. That was why he trained his speed so much. That image always flashing before his eyes. One thought always flowed through his head. 'If only i had been faster'.

That was and will always be Sasuke's greatest regret. If he had run home from shuriken practice faster he could have stalled Itachi out of his mission even convince him to stay. If he had moved quicker in the forest of death he would never have gotten a curse mark. If he had listened to kakashi sooner the first time around he wouldn't have gone to orochimaru. If he had joined the akatsuki quicker then maybe he could have found someway to stop pain from destroying the leaf. If he had learned the truth quicker itachi wouldn't have had to die by his hand. If he had learned about madara's identity sooner he could have single handedly stopped the fourth great ninja war. He didn't have to be stronger than his enemies Sasuke had decided. Naruto could be the stronger one. Sasuke would give the dobe that. Speed however was always Sasuke's thing because speed made Sasuke feel safe.

"Ke what really happened last night?" Naruto asked as he carefully pulled sasuke's hand from his old curse mark spot. It revealed two heavily red fang scratches. A bit like vampire no snake they were snake fang scratches. Creepy pedo snake attempted hickey rape scratches.

Sasuke merely looked away from Naruto almost afraid to see his expression.

"That almost hickey's gonna scar you know" naruto finally said as he traced his finger lightly over the scratches careful not to hurt Sasuke but at least attempt to put a twinge of kyuubi chakra on the wounds.

"He was that close i barely stopped the snake in time... We need to put up seals everywhere. They got in here way to easily" Sasuke said with a grimace.

"Okay if you think it'll help" Naruto said trusting Sasuke's judgement.

"Yeah it'll ease my mind a bit" Sasuke nodded.

"Hey would it kill you to stop trying to lie to me ke?" Naruto asked with a frown.

"Hey how did you know i lied in the first place?" Sasuke asked eyes narrowed. Naruto wouldn't have actually let kurama do that jutsu on him!?

"You-"

"Uhuh"

"And kura-"

"Yup"

"Went inside my head! You could have died without Ino's mind transmission to guide you two!"

"Nope!"

"You don't remember her warning when we tried to do that during the mission in lock!? She said you were lucky that my lightning chakra didn't fry your brain!"
