Six Months Later

It's been three months, and I haven't seen Josh due to the fact that he's been all over the place for football, but he comes back to New York today, I'm skeptical about seeing him but I'm happy he can finally see Lily. It was nice for both of us to actually get a break from eachother, and surprisingly, I didn't sleep with anybody, or even try to get in relationships. After all I been through I just didn't feel the need too. I know Josh had to be the complete opposite, even though he's in a relationship with Sabrina still. If he was loyal the whole six months it would be a miracle, both him and her.

"Are you ready to see your dad?"

"Yes! I missed him so much! Is he done with work now?"

"No, but he's here for a few days or weeks, I'm not sure." I said brushing her hair back into two ponytails.

"Are you guys going to stay together this time?" She said turning around and looking at me. She was at the age now where she knew something was wrong or going on, and she was tired of it. I hate that all that has happened effects her.

"What do you mean baby?"

"Are you guys going to stop arguing and be together?"

"Lily, where is this coming from?"

"Cause everytime you two are together you argue, or you both are okay and then argue again. And I always have to leave with dad, we never do things together." She said and I kissed her head and rubbed her face.

"Don't you worry okay? Your dad and I will figure that out one day. Go get dressed." I said and she ran off to her room. I couldn't believe my daughter had to tell me what was up, when it's like that you know there's something that has to change. I sat there and turned on the tv, and heard a knock at the door.

"Yes?" I said opening the door and it was Josh, before I knew it I was picked up and lifted into his big arms.

"I missed you Liyah, it's been too long."

"I missed you too Josh." I said hugging him back and he sat down on the couch with me still in his arms.

"Where's Lily?"

"Getting dressed." I said and he kissed my head and looked at me. "Why you looking at me like that?"

"Cause you're still beautiful. I'd always watch you on Frame, when I could."

"Don't start, and I bet you did."

"I mean that Liyah, how has everything been?"

"Fine, just been focusing on work and Lily."

"No new boyfriend that I gotta throw out the window while I'm here in New York?" I shook my head and laughed, and looked him in the eyes.

"Shut up, no Josh. I've been steering clear of everyone. I haven't even slept with anyone, not since the night before you left." Before Josh hd to go, we did sleep together. Right before he got on the flight. I know he has a girlfriend but for some reason we're going to keep doing this, which isn't good. "But we need to talk."

"What's good? You got another baby in there?"

"No! It's been six months don't you think I'd be big as hell?!" He laughed and put his arms back around me.

"I'm playing, but really what's wrong?"

"I'm not gonna keep doing this with you, this whole you in a relationship and us still messing around. We can't keep doing this we aren't in college no more Josh, it's been years and this is real life. We have Lily, she's asking questions and being confused."

"I know, I don't want to drag girls along, but at the sametime I didn't wanna hurt you, I wasn't sure what I wanted these last few years obviously if I was still sleeping around, with you back in my life. I mean, I wasn't but I was so used to doing that when you weren't here. I know what I wanted, I knew what I wanted for a long time, and that's you." He said with a serious look on his face, one I was glad to see.

"I'm ready to be with you too. I think we can work it out cause no matter what arguement and what relationship we get in we still go against everything."

"I know, we can't get away from eachother. Cause I'm not losing you again so you better be ready for a relationship anyways."

"Don't make me slap you."

"No, cause I haven't slept with anyone either. The whole six months, and it was actually easy." I got wide eyed and looked him straight in the face, I was completely confused when he said that.

"Wow, Josh. I just about don't even want to believe you, but the way you said it I could tell it was real."

"I know, it's shocking to me too but I did it. Nothing sexual at all, not since with you, the day I left." I kissed his head and looked at him and laughed. I'm still in shock but I feel like he's finally telling the truth for once.

"You must be going through withdrawal like crazy."

"Me? That's all you."

"Shit you're right, I'll admit it."

"See, it's always girls."

"Don't you fucking start, it's guys too. Everyone has a sex drive you dumbass." We both laughed and he messed up my hair like he always does, and held me close in his arms and I finally felt home, like everything was going to start being alright. "Now you just have to break up with Sabrina."

"Yeah that's been over, I just told you I was with her to increase your jealousy. She cheated on me and told me and I just called it quits." He said and hid his face, cause he knew I would've slapped him up for lying to me about that for months. Had me spying and watching this bitch like I was the FBI.

"Fuck you Josh."

"Please do, it's been six months. You're lucky I can't bend you over this couch right now."

"No, you're lucky I can't bend over this couch right now. And do everything you wish I could've done to you the past six months. So shut up, I still got those texts. Don't make me pull out those screenshots."

"How does it make me lucky? That's unlucky Liyah." I kissed him and laughed and laid my head on his chest.

"I'm so happy you're back."

"Dad!" Lily said running out and jumping in Josh's lap. "I missed you so so so much!"

"I missed you more, I missed you more than mommy." He said pulling her into a tight hug and she filled his face with kisses.

"Good, are you almost done with work?"

"No, but I'm here for a little while. Playoff games are here in New York for us, and I want you both there, I think we'll make the Superbowl again."

"I hope so, you guys always do." I said looking at both Josh and Lily, and realizing how far I've came with Josh, and how much they both been through, aswell as myself. I was close to losing them both and yet here they are, and I was ready to be a complete family, things were going right, we admitted we want eachother now, and I feel like there's nothing that can get in the way that.

I have maybe one or two chapters left, sorry for late updates, I'm always working. .-. Working on new books too btw. Thanks for all the loveeee. <3 c:
