You took in the very sight that was the haunted, abandoned factory on the hill and sighed. Of all the places your dalmatian puppy would go to play hide and seek with you, he had to pick one of the most scariest places imaginable. A million should'ves went through your mind as you began to walk up the hill towards your soon to be doomed existence.
You should've never let Riley "bark" you into taking him to the dog park, especially with it being so close to Halloween. Every year on the days leading up to Halloween, puppies were know to disappear at the dog park. But the moment he looked up to you with those big blue eyes of his, with his leash in his mouth, you knew you would never be able to stay no to him.
You should've never taken him off his leash, otherwise you wouldn't be standing at the front door of the creepy factory. You took a deep breath and opened the door.
You walked into the building, not able to see anything because it was dark. You quickly looked in your bag for your cell phone, but something bumped into you causing you to fall on your butt.
A light was turned on, causing you to go blind from the bright, harsh light.
"What do we have here?" Said a deep british voice.
You rubbed your eyes to clear away the tears and looked up at the figure holding the flashlight. His silver eyes bore themselves into your (e/c) ones. It was almost as if he was in a trance because his eyes never left yours.
"H-hi I-i thought this b-building w-was a-abandoned?" You were stuttering because he looked like a ghost by the way his hair looked and the way he dressed.
Not to mention that an eerie glow seems to surround him every time he moves. You were terrified.
"Nobody comes here anymore, but I own this building. My question for you darling is, why are YOU in here?" He asked you with a creepy smile.
He was trying to be seductive, but you didn't know that. So his smile made you want to run away from him.
"M-my p-puppy, R-riley, h-he r-ran i-in h-here." You tried to explain to him.
His stare was so intense and lustful that it made you look away.
"You came in here for a mangy mutt?" Th venom radiating from his voice, had let you know that he was against all dogs in general.
Your head snapped up and you shot him a glare.
"He isn't a mangy mutt jackass, he's my friend. And if you say one more bad thing about him, I'll wipe the floor with that pretty face of yours. Got it?" He starred at you with wide eyes as you stood up and wiped the dirt off your butt.
You walked past him, hitting his shoulder on purpose. He almost dropped his flashlight, but he didn't care. His eyes were trained on you. He watched as you slowly drifted away into the darkest part of the factory.
He was now mesmerized by you. Even though his heart was as cold as steal, he could feel a tight squeeze in his chest when he saw the hurt in your eyes. It almost made him regret that he had said it at all.
He mentally cursed himself as he tried to find you. He knew that this factory was a safety hazard and that you could easily get hurt if you didn't watch your step. But up ahead he saw a light and heard sobbing.
He jogged towards the noise, discarding his fur coat, causing it to drop to the ground. Right at that moment, he was more worried about you being hurt. He told himself that if anything happens to you, he would take full responsibility because he would never forgive himself if he didn't.
He made it to you to find you sitting on your knees holding a hurt pup in your arms. You looked up at him and let him see the tears that were streaming down your face. Another squeeze at his heart told him to take you in his arms and take you away.from that place, but he was afraid that he would hurt someone as fragile as you to the point where you might actually break.
But he was afraid to approach you when you had the pup in your arms, you'll learn why he hates dogs so much later. But right at that moment, he needed to help you get out of there.
He took a step back causing you to flinch. You looked up at him with hurt written all over your face. He began to mentally curse himself again, knowing that you would react that way. Now he knew why you called him a jackass, it's because he couldn't take other people's feelings into consideration.
"Look, i can help you get out. But you need to head straight home because it's probably dark by now." You nodded your head telling him that you would as he asked.
You stood up just as he walked towards a door. The pup began to whimper with every step you took. He lead you down a hallway and out a side door.
The cool night air smacked your face. You sighed in relief and looked down at Riley. His left front paw was bleeding. You had to get home right away before it became infected.
You looked up and saw that the man's silver eyes were watching you. They were filled with amazement, something you didn't quite understand.
"Thank you for helping me find my way back." You said with a little smile on your face.
" Anytime. Just make sure you get home safely." He said with rosey cheeks.
You nodded your head and began to head to your car near the park. But you couldn't help but want to know what his name was.
You turned around, only to be interrupted by him telling you what you wanted to know.
"My name is Chris." He said with a smiled tugging on his lips.
"I'm (y/n)." You said with red cheeks.
That would be one of the many things that he will begin to love about you.
"Until next time, (y/n). Goodnight." And with that, he turned on his heal and walked back to the factory.
You turned back around and began to walk back to your car.
You couldn't help but visualize his beautiful silver eyes the entire ride back to your apartment. Little did you know that you were beginning to fall in love with a man wanted for murder.
