Alex (Alice ~ Alice in Wonderland) Final part 1

Dear Mr. Alexander Liddel, we send you this invitation in hopes that you can attend the one hundred and first birthday of the Mad Hatter. There shall be games and dancing and tons of yummy treats! Please note that this is a costume party, so wear your craziest and colorful costume on your person! You are allowed to bring one special guest with you, and as always make sure to bring an extra crazy present for the father of craziness!

You look at yourself in the mirror admiring the costume that Alex made for you. From the fashionable yet cute hat sitting on top of your head to the dancing shoes on your feet, you were covered in almost every color of the rainbow if not more. He even made you a matching pair of fingerless gloves.

Upon seeing your appearance, you were nervous because you didn't think that you could fit in with the crowd. Alex may be a different story because he has been in Wonderland longer than you. Only having been here for a few months, you have never been to a party hosted by the Mad Hatter himself.

Alex told you that it was an honor and to not accept is something terrible. The Mad Hatter is the oldest citizen in all of Wonderland having been there when the first king was crowned. From what Alex told you, the new king is just like his mother whom is ruthless and cruel in every way imaginable.

However, when you asked him how he knew such a thing, he would change the subject and does everything in his power to keep it that way. You figured that something must have happened for him to become this way, but tonight you would forget the uneasy feeling you felt and you would swallow your fear and try to have some fun.

Alex was waiting for you downstairs, as you slowly walk down the staircase, you noticed that his outfit matched yours which you thought to be a nice gesture.

"Shall we go, kind gentlemen?" You ask him with a smile as you take his arm.

He smiles down at you and kisses your forehead. As he leads you out the door where a carriage that will be pulled a bull frog that was the size of a car. You look up at him in confusion and amazement.

"Its a Mad Hatter party, that means that even the carriages he sends to retrieve his guests will be driven by anything other than a horse" he says chuckling as he opens the carriage door for you.

You smile and take his hand as he helps you inside before climbing in behind you. He gives a high pitched whistle which signals for the frog to start its course towards Madness Manner, the home of the Mad Hatter and his friends.

On the way there, Alex begins to explain to you how you should greet the Hatter and his comrades. The Hatter with a riddle, The March Hare with a question that concerns tea, and as for the doormouse ....

"Remember when I started teaching you swordplay? If Mallymkun challenges you to a duel, then you had better accept it, otherwise she will never view you as an equal" Alex explains to you, leaving you confused.

"How am I supposed to fight a doormouse on equal terms?" You ask him with a raised eyebrow because you could have probably bested her bu just simple picking her up.

"Well, Mallymkun has learned some new skills to fight bigger opponents on equal terms, just be careful, (y/n)" he says hugging you close with a worried smile on his face.
