A blue flame.
That is all you saw before the darkness took over. Before your eyes turned red and your hair turned white and black, fangs growing into sharp points in your mouth. You had turned into a dark one, even though you had tried really hard not to let the stuff that Hades told you just a few days before get to you. That, however, didn't help you at all.
It just made things much worse.
~A Few Days Ago~
You were in Hades' library reading a book that was completely in French. Your little puppy, Cerberus, sitting at your feet, fast asleep. He was to be your protector, your friend, but most importantly, he was ypur distraction. Hades was avoiding you for the past several days and you didn't know why.
When she first brought you here, she was so happy, so full of joy. Then one day, something changed. She said she was fine, that she was dealing with work stuff. You, however, know that there was something more to her words. Something she wasn't telling you.
Upon being bored with the book you have read countless times, you decided to explore the fortress. Cerberus stood up and stretched when he felt you get up form your chair. His little jaw opening as he yawns, gaining his composure and following you out of the room.
You went to all the rooms, one's you've seen countless times before, all except one room. The door was black with a gold eye painted on it. You didn't know why she never wanted you to go in there or why she kept it locked. But the weirdest thing was, she seemed to have forgoten to lock the door that day because it was unlocked and slightly open.
Cerberus whimpers and backs away from the door, the ears on all three of his heads fallen in fear on top of his heads.
"What's wrong boy?" You asked him before picking him up.
He continued to whimper in your arms as he stares at the door. You gulped and fought back the urge to run back to the library and forget you ever found the door. But something pulled you to the door, beckoning you to come in. You couldn't fight the unknown force any longer as you walked up to the door and pushed it all the way open.
Through the door was a dark and endless hallway that seemed to stretch out forever, but at the end of the hallway was a pale, blue light. Memerized by its beauty, you began to slowly walk towards it, not hearing the door slam behind you.
Your converse made clicking noises against the floor as you inched closer to the light. Cerberus could hear things scurry around your feet as you walked, causing him to growl. You shushed him as you stepped up to the light.
You reached a hand out to touch it, but it scurried away towards a set of stairs. You smiled and ran after it, not knowing what you were getting yourself into. Following it down the twisting stairwell, you began to notice the temperature dropping the furtger down you went.
Shivering from the cold, you held Cerberus closer as you neared the final steps. You only knew you were close to the end because you could hear voices talking to one another. As you edged closer, you began to zone in on the conversation.
"There has to be a way to stop it from happening!" A familiar voice yells.
You stopped in your tracks the moment you heard Hades' voice and decided too continue to listen.
"You cannot change what has been written since the day that the child was born, that is why his/her thread is red" An old, deep male voice says in annoyance.
"Why didn't you three dimwits tell me that sooner?!" She yells
Two other male voices grumbled with the first one. Your curious nature made you want to see what was going on, so you quietly snuck into the room and hid behind a large black pillar.
