Callie's POV:

I wake up with headphones on and Brandon's song still playing in my ears. I smile briefly at the reminder of Brandon. I look down and notice that I'm still wearing his sweatshirt. I look at the time to see if Brandon is awake yet, he should be. I dial his number and wait.

After three rings he picks up. "Hey," he says. His voice is slow and tired.

"I'm sorry did I wake you up?" I ask.

"No. I just didn't sleep well last night. But that doesn't matter, how are you?" He asks.

"I'm good. My new foster mom, Helen, took me to the mall and bought me a ton of stuff. She bought me a tv for my room, a laptop, and a new guitar," I tell him.

"Wow. That's, uh, great Callie." He seems almost disappointed, but I know it's just because he wants me back home. "How's the new foster brother?" He asks. I can hear it in his voice that he is tense and worried.

"He good. I think you should meet him sometime, I think you'd like him. He likes music and he totally saved me last night." Then I add, "He's pretty cool so far, but only as a brother."

"That's good. I'm glad everything is okay over there. Do you have to go to school today?"

"I don't know. I don't want to tell Helen or Tyler about the hospital, but I really don't want to go back to school yet. Are you going?" I ask.

"No moms are still worried. I can have Lena call... Helen was it? Anyways, Lena could make something up for you. Then I can walk over your homework. I can bring Jude too, if you want." He suggests.

"Really? Brandon that would be great! Please tell Lea thanks for me and yes I want you to bring Jude! I have to go. Love you," I say excitedly.

He laughs, probably at my excitement. "Love you too. Bye." I hang up the phone and head to the bathroom.

I knock before entering, just in case Ty is in there. When no one answers I walk in. There. In front of me is Ty. In. Only. A. Towel. "Oh I'm sorry. I knock and... Uh, uh. Just tell me when you're done." I stutter out and run into my room shutting the bathroom door. Oh God help me. Second day here and I already in on someone almost naked! This whole sharing a bathroom with Ty thing is NOT going to work.

First. What would have happened if Ty hadn't had a towel on?
Second. What would happen if Ty's parents found out?
Third. What would happen if Brandon found out?

All of these thoughts swarm through my head as Ty opens my bathroom door. "Callie you can come get ready if you'd like," he says trying to hold back a laugh.

"Um... Okay." I say getting up from my bed and walking to the bathroom. Ty now stands by his door, not being able to hold in his laughing fit any longer. "It's not funny Ty. I knocked you could have said you were in here," I whine.

"The *laugh* look *laugh* on your *laugh* face! PRICELESS!" He says now doubled over laughing.

"It's not funny!" I say feeling myself blush.

"Yes it is!" He says still laughing, but now walking into his room.

I shut his door and lock it. Then I lock my door and hop in the shower. I quickly wash my body and hair. Then just let the hot water soak through my skin and relax my tense muscles. It's nice to have hot water for my showers instead of ice cold.

I wrap my towel around my wet body and go into my room to pick some clothes out for the day. I check my phone for the weather, 90 degrees. Ugh. I decide to wear one of the sundresses that Helen bought me yesterday. I don't really like to wear dresses, but Helen said "every young lady should have nice dresses to wear" and it's too hot to wear jean shorts.

I look at the scars on my wrists. They're very noticeable. What should I do? It's too hot for long sleeves. Then I remember that Helen bought me jewelry which includes bracelets. I slide four or five bracelets until they cover all of the scars. I slip on the white sandals that Helen also bought me yesterday and walk down the stairs.

"You look great Callie! I knew you would look pretty in that dress," Helen exclaims as I sit at the table. "I made waffles would you like some?"

"Thank you and yes waffles sound great." She hands me a plate with a homemade waffle on it and sits down across from me.

"Your vice principal called and said that you should stay home from school for the rest of the week, do you know why?" She asks.

"Uh... Well there is this boy... That uh... Has been bullying me and he's moving this weekend, so uh... They're letting him finish out the week at school, but they don't want me getting hurt?" It comes out sounding more like a question. I don't think she bought I, but she didn't press any farther either.

Just then Ty walks down the stairs and sits next to me. He glances at me and busts out in laughter, again. "Not funny," I say, but his laughter is contagious and I start laughing too. Helen tries asking us why we are acting like this, but we are both laughing to hard to even answer.
