Callie's POV:
I lay on the floor of the dilapidated old mansion in Brandon's arms, both of us under a blanket. My head is his chest and his arm is around me. Our hands are interwoven and he's rubbing circles on the back of mine. Nothing could ruin this moment, it's perfect.
Brandon is the perfect guy. He's sweet and caring and he loves me. I couldn't be any happier about who I chose to be my first time. I sure don't count Liam because I never chose him, I never loved him and he never loved me. Brandon loves me and I love him and he would never hurt me, not intentionally.
"I love you." I whisper.
Even though I'm not looking at him, I know that he's smiling, just like me. "I love you more."
"Impossible." I say as my smile broadens (if that's even possible.)
"What ever you say, my love." He says as he kisses the top of my head.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"Why me? I mean you had a girlfriend that loved you... And you didn't have to sneak around with her. It would have been so easy for you to just stay with her, but you chose me." I whisper.
He takes unwinds his hand from mine and uses it to move my face up, so I have to look at him. "Callie, you are the love of my life. I never love her. From the moment I saw you, I was in love with you. I thought that you would never feel the same about some piano geek that would rather sit at home on the weekends playing the piano then going out. When you said that you loved me for the first time, I knew that I had one chance to be with my other half. It sounds cheesy, I know, but I know that you are and I know that I want to marry you and have kids with you someday. You're not just a girlfriend that I will vaguely remember when I'm old and sitting in a rocking chair next to my wife because, Callie, I want you to be that wife. Not now, obviously, we are 18, but someday. Does that answer your question?" He asks.
I gaze into his perfect blue eyes and smile. "Perfectly." He leans down and kisses my lips.
We lay there in blissful silence until it starts to Get dark outside. "I should probably get you home, so Ty doesn't kill me and your parents don't get worried."
"But I don't want to. I want to just lay here with you forever." I whine.
"I wish we could too, but, like I said, Ty would kill me and our parents would be worried." I giggle a little because I know he's right, especially about Ty, he's just as protective as Brandon.
"Fine." I say reluctantly. "But under one condition."
"What is that?" He asks.
"Promise me that, when you get back, you will marry me and we can buy this house and have kids and just be together." I say.
"I promise. I wouldn't have it any other way." He says.
I smile at him. "Good." Then I slip my underwear and shorts on under the blanket, clip my bra and stand up to get my shirt. Brandon does the same and then gathers up the two blankets and we walk to the car. "I'm hungry." I say while we pull out of the gravel driveway.
"Me too." Brandon laughs. "What do you want to eat?"
"Could we go to that small Chinese food place? You know the one by school?"
"Sounds good to me." He says. We get food and eat in the restaurant talking about, well, really random topics, but I still couldn't wipe the smile off of my face even if I tried, no one could.
When we are both done eating, brandon throws some money on the table and drives me home. He walks me to the door.
"Do you want to come up for a little bit? It's not too late." I ask him.
"I would, but I have an early lesson with the Grimm Reaper in the morning." He says.
"Fine, but call me when it's over so I can see you." I pout.
"Okay." he chuckles. I give him a quick kiss. "I love you."
"I love you more." he says smiling.
My smile broadens. "I love you most, so HA! I win!" I say. "and what does the winner get from the loser?" I taunt.
"Hmm. How about a kiss and a killer date tomorrow?" he asks.
"Perfect." then he kisses me, not just a peck on the lips, but a real kiss that leaves me eager for more.
"Goodnight." he says.
I steal one more quick kiss and then say goodnight back as I open the door to my house.
When I get back inside I'm still smiling like crazy, not able to get the thoughts of the best day of my life. I walk into the kitchen to tell Hellen that I'm home and to grab a brownie that she made yesterday.
"Have a good day?" she asks.
"Perfect."
"Good. Why don't you go upstairs and start some of that weekend homework that's due on Monday so you're not struggling to get it done tomorrow night." She says. I groan, but head up the stairs anyways.
I walk into my bedroom and through the bathroom to knock on Ty's door. After a few seconds it opens. "Hey." I say.
"Oh. I didn't know you were home." He says back.
"Brandon just dropped me off a few minutes ago. I don't want to do my homework right now, want to watch a movie or something?"
He looks almost nervous as he answers. "Sure, but... I have to tell you something and you may be mad at me. I already did it, so there is no going back now... I haven't told the judgmental parents yet." he bites his lip as he talks.
The smile that I thought could never go away, disappears. "Ty what's wrong? what did you do?" I ask, suddenly feeling sick and lightheaded.
He motions me into his bedroom an shuts the door behind me. "Well... maybe you should sit down."
"I don't need to sit down. what did you do?" I almost yell.
"I-I-I signed up to be in the Marines."
