Brandon's POV:
"Shhh, Callie you didn't do any of this," I try to calm Callie down. I hate that he did this to her and that she thinks it's all her fault. If its anybodies fault other than Liam's it would be mine. I should have protected her. If I would've been able to protect her none of this would've happened. I pull her closer to me and kiss the top of her head as she sobs. "I'm so sorry," I whisper.
"I'm the one that should be sorry. If I never would've came to your house, you wouldn't be in here right now and Liam never would've came looking for me," she says.
"If you'd never have come to live with us I never would've met you," I remind her.
"It would have been better that way, I couldn't hurt you," she replies.
I pull her away from me just enough to looking into her gorgeous chocolate brown eyes. "It would not have been better for me if I had never met you. I would still be dating Talya and I wouldn't be happy because you make me happy. So don't say that I would be better off without you because I wouldn't be," I tell her. "Okay? I love you and I don't want you going anywhere."
She nods. "I love you too," she says and then cuddles up to me. "Back to my question you tried to avoid. What's wrong with you? Why are in here?" She asks.
"Well, when Liam," she cringed at his name, "and I were fighting I fell to the ground an shirt my head. I now have a concussion. No biggie," I say trying to shrug it off.
"Yes biggie. Why would you try to fight Liam?" She asks.
"Do you really not know the answer to that question? I was trying to protect you because I knew that if he got you out of this room that there might be a chance I would never see you again. Or worse I would see you, but you would be dead."
"I'm right here. I got away from him. I wouldn't leave you like that," she says.
I half smile down at her. "Good."
We watch tv for a little while until someone knocks on the door as they start to open it. Callie jumps up and shoots into the chair. I don't think I've ever seen anyone move that fast.
"Brandon?" Mom (Stef) asks as she walks into the room. "So I was talking to the doctor and they said you can go home tonight, but you can't sleep tonight. Then tomorrow night I'm supposed to wake you up every hour," she says. Well this is going to suck.
"Ugh. Okay what time do I get to leave?" I ask.
"Right after they're done filling out you discharge papers," she tells me. "Oh and Callie I already signed yours, so you'll be able to come home tonight too," she adds.
"Good. Thanks Stef. Wait? Where's Jude?," Callie asks. I can see the fear and worry in her eyes.
"He's in the waiting room... right there," mom says as she opens the door wider to reveal jude sitting in a chair watching tv.
"Good," she sighs in relief.
"Callie could I talk to you for a minute?" Mom asks. Callie nods her head and follows mom out of the room. What is that about?
