Jesus' POV:

Mom (Stef) yells at us all with jobs to do. Mine is to find Brandon a nurse because someone completely beat him up and took Callie. The dummy that he is probably tried to take on a guy that was much bigger than he is to protect Callie. They may not think I know, but there is definitely something going on between the two of them. I also know that they can't act on the feelings they have for each other until Callie turns eighteen and is out of the foster system.

I run down the hall and look for anyone that looks like a nurse or better yet a doctor. I've been running around for five minutes looking for someone. We are in a hospital aren't there supposed to be doctors and nurses everywhere? Of course when we need it nobodies to be found. Finally I find the woman that introduced herself yesterday as Callie's doctor.

"Oh thank God. Doctor Johnson!" I call to make her stop.

She turns around. "Yes? Jesus right?" I nod. "What's wrong?" She asks.

"We'll Callie's gone missing and my brother Brandon got beat up and he hit his head. I think he passed out too. Could you please help him? He's in Callie's room," I say in a rush.

"Of course, but where is Callie? She can't leave," she states.

"I don't know where she is, but I think someone took her. My mom is a cop and she's looking for her right now," I say.

"Okay. Now tell me what happened to your brother again as we walk to go see him."

"Well. I was sleeping in the waiting room along with the rest of the family. We woke up to Callie screaming at someone. It took us a minute to realize that it was Callie, but when we did we all ran into her room. By the time we got there it was too late, Callie was gone and Brandon was on the floor beaten to a pulp. When we got there he passed out because he had hit his head, I'm guessing when he fell to the floor," I say as we walk quickly down the hall towards Callie's room.

We walk into the room and mom (Lena) is sitting on the ground beside Brandon crying. "Mom this is Callie's doctor, Dr. Johnson." She looks up with a 'oh thank God' look.

"Hi Mrs. Foster. When did he pass out?" Dr. Johnson asks.

"About five minutes ago," mom (Lena) says.

"Okay well we are going to have to get him on the bed so I can look at him," she tells us. Carefully, the three of us lift Brandon and lay him in Callie's bed. Then Dr. Johnson looks him over. She pages someone and say to do a lot of medical stuff that I couldn't understand. Then she tells us to go wait in the waiting room and that she will come get us when she's done running tests on Brandon.

Mom and I follow our orders and go out into the waiting room. I see Jude crying uncontrollably into Mariana's shoulder. "What's going on?" I mouth to her. He's more than just scared for Callie and Brandon. She shrugs. Mom switches spot with Mariana to comfort Jude. "Mariana lets go get something to eat from the vending machines. Mom, Jude, do you want anything?" I ask.

"I'll have some coffee," she says.

I nod. "Jude. How about you? Do you want anything?" I ask. He shakes his head as he cries into mom's shoulder. "Okay we will be right back."

As we walk down the hallway and to the vending machines I ask Mariana, "what happened? I mean I know he's upset about Callie going missing, but that seemed like a little more than that." I say.

"He's scared of who took Callie. He thinks it's their old foster brother Liam. I guess he and Callie kind of dated, but he was really mean to her. I think that's why Callie won't even talk to Brandon about their feelings for each other. I think they got kicked out because of Callie's relationship with this Liam guy," she explains.

"So you think that he's not over Callie? So he kidnapped her and when Brandon tried to stop them from leaving Liam beat him up?" I asked really confused.

"I think so, but I also think that he did something else to Callie. I don't think that them being together was what she wanted. At least not at the end," she says.

"Do you think that he forced Callie to be with him?" I ask. Did he threaten Jude? He had to of because that's the only thing that Callie is ever worried about.

"Yes. From what Jude told me he hit Callie whenever he got mad and his parents never even noticed until the night that they got kicked out because Callie didn't have enough time to cover the bruise fully before dinner. Liam got mad that he almost got caught by his parents. That's all Jude knows though. I guess Callie told him that if Liam ever started to yell and get angry to hide in the closet and turn music on to drown out the yelling and screaming," she explains again.

"Wait. Mariana do you think that this Liam guy did more than just yell and hit Callie when he got mad? Do you think that he raped Callie?" I ask astonished.

"Maybe. It would definitely explain why she tries to stay away from Brandon. I know that she knows he would never do that to her, but I think that the situation reminds her too much of Liam." She says as we walk up to the vending machine. I get a bag of barbecue potato chips and a water for Jude even though he said he didn't want anything and a bag of flaming hot Cheetos and a Coca Cola for me. Mariana gets mom's coffee. Then a bag of sour cream and onion chips and a Coca Cola for herself.

"Okay that makes sense. Why was Brandon in her room this morning anyway? Didn't he fall asleep with all of us in the waiting room?" I ask.

"Yeah, but I think he got up and went to sleep in her room after all of us fell asleep. When Callie couldn't breath she went to Brandon's room. She asked him to not leave her because she was scared. That's why he rode in the ambulance with Jude. I think she feels safe with Brandon," she tells me.

"Do you think Brandon knows about this Liam guy?" I ask.

"Maybe. What if Callie saw Liam and that's why she had that anxiety attack and couldn't breath," she theorizes.

My eyes go wide. "What if Liam was outside our house? What if he was waiting for Callie to be alone so he could do something to her? Do you think moms know about him?" I ask.

"We need to tell moms this or ask Brandon when he wakes up what he knows," she says. I nod in agreement as we walk back to mom and Jude.

Right as we are about to turn the corner I see someone running down the hall towards us. "Callie?" Mariana and I yell at the same time.
