Jude's POV:

"Where's Callie?" I ask at the same time Brandon whispers her name before passing out. I start to freak out and cry. Why is Brandon a beat up? Who beat him up? Where's my sister? Who took her? I know she wouldn't leave without me and she loves this family. The only person that Callie is scared of is Liam... and for good reason. Did Liam come here and take Callie. Did he beat up Brandon when he tried to protect her?

"Lena stay here with Brandon. Jesus go find a nurse. Mariana calm Jude down. NOW!" Stef yells.then she runs down the hallway. She stops at the nurses station and tells them to tell secretly not to let anyone out of the building. Then she runs down the hall and starts searching for Callie.

I try to run after her because I want to see Callie and know that she is okay, but Mariana stops me and pulls me onto one of the couches in the waiting room. "Don't worry Jude my mom will find Callie and keep her safe. There is no way she could have gotten out of the hospital that fast," she says.

"She- she didn't just walk out. He- he took her," I say as I cry harder than before.

"Who Jude? Who took Callie?" She asks concerned. Callie and Mariana already fight like sisters and I know that they're starting to love each other like them too.

"Li- Liam," I tell her my voice getting caught in the back of my throat as I say his name. I hate Liam for what he did to me and Callie. He used to be really nice to both of us when we first moved into his families house. Then everything changed and he did things to both Callie and me. He blamed everything on Callie and then we got kicked out because he was their perfect son that could do no wrong and Callie and I were trashy foster kids.

I remember the day we left perfectly... *flashback 2 years ago*

I sit in my bed reading. Some dumb book for school. I'm not very good at school, but I love to read. Well normally I like to read, but this book is really boring. I wish someone could read it to me or tell me what happens. Callie would probably read it to me, but I don't want to bother her. She's probably hanging out with Liam.

I hear the door slam across the hallway and look up. I see Callie with her head down and her hair draped over her face. She holds her hands to her eyes and I know that Liam hit her again. I get up off my bed and walk over to Callie. I wrap my arms around her to reassure her that everything will be okay.

"Callie. It's okay, but don't cry out here. Come to my room," I whisper to her. The Olmsteads may be the best foster family we've had, but they don't take kindly to weakness. I pull Callie into my room shutting the door behind us and leading Callie to my bed. She sits down and I sit next to her and rub her back to make her feel better like our mom always used to do when we were upset. "Shh. Callie what did he do to you? What happened?" I ask.

She shakes her head, "nothing, baby, it's fine. I'm fine. I need to go get ready for dinner okay? You should too. Oh, don't do anything to upset Liam tonight okay?" I nod. She kisses my forehead and whispers, "I love you Jude," and then leaves my room to go put makeup on her new bruise from Liam.

Callie doesn't think I know, but her and Liam are breaking the rules and dating. Liam's nineteen and Callie's fourteen. I know it's wrong and so does Callie, but she does it anyways. I just hope she doesn't get caught.

If I were older I would kill Liam for hurting my sister, but I can't and nobody would believe that he hit Callie even if it came out of her mouth and not mine.

"Dinner!" Mrs. Olmstead yells up the stairs. I get out of bed and head downstairs with Callie. When we sit down at the table Mrs. O sees Callie's black and blue eye even though she tried to cover it with makeup. "Oh my. Callie what happened to your eye?" Mrs. O asks dropping the bowl of lettuce that was in her hands.

Callie looks at Liam and then looks back to Mrs. O. "I got hit with a dodge ball at school today in gym class," Callie lied. I glance at Liam and he has a creepy smirk on his face.

"It's not funny Liam. Now Callie, I saw you when you got home and you did not have a bruise on your face. Don't lie to me again. Where did you get that black eye?"

Callie looks to Liam again. Mr. O notices this time. "Liam did you do this to Callie?" He asks. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. This can't happen. Liam is going to hurt her way worse than this if he gets in trouble.

"Of course not dad," Liam states confidently. "Callie gets bullied at school." And that was that. No more questions from Mr. and Mrs. O. We ate dinner making small talk and then help with the dishes afterwards. Since it was a Friday night the Olmsteads are going out, leaving us kids home for the night.

The minute they leave Liam pulls Callie into his room and starts yelling at her. Callie told me to hide and listen to music if this ever happened. So that's what I do. I grab Liam's old iPod that the Olmsteads had given me for my birthday and hide in my closet. I turn the music up really loud to drown out the yelling and screaming. Shortly after I get in I'm pulled roughly out of the closet by Mr. O. He shoves me into Callie and then shoves us both out the door, slamming it behind him.

I take the earbuds out of my ears. "Callie what's going on?"

She has tears brimming in her eyes. "We have to walk to the diner up here and call Bill okay?"

She wraps her arm around my shoulders to stop my shivering because it's winter and we don't have jackets or even sweatshirts on.

"But why? What happened?" I ask really confused. When did the Mr. and Mrs. O get back?

As if reading my mind she says, "they came back because Mrs. Olmstead forgot her phone. They heard Liam and I fighting and kicked us out. I'm sorry Jude." I know she's not telling me the whole reason why we got kicked out, but I'm not going to press her to tell me because I can see that she's heart broken... *end of flashback*
