Brandon's POV:
After Callie left my room I got dressed and practiced piano. I'm trying not to show it to Callie, but I'm freaking out. If she's pregnant and she decides to keep the baby, I will have to step up because I know Callie couldn't do it all by herself. It would be different if the baby were mine and not Liam's. I feel like then I would have some fatherly instincts that would come, but I'm sixteen and I don't have the best father in my life. I don't want to deal with any of this. I just want to go back to that abandoned house on the beach and sit and play music with Callie, before all of this started.
She seems to think that I'm perfect, but it's only my love for her that doesn't have me running away. I know that sounds horrible, but I can't help that my natural instinct is to run away from problems that I didn't create. I feel so bad for thinking this because I want to be better than that. It's not her fault. It's Liam's, It's mine because I couldn't save her, but it's not her's. Not at all. I hate him for doing this to her. I could just kill him. If he even thinks about coming within a mile of her, I will kill him.
I don't know how she is going to tell her new foster parents if it's true. How will she explain? I hope they don't get mad or kick her out, but if she's here I can keep an eye on her and make sure she is okay. Conflicted feelings.
I get up from my piano bench and go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I'm done I head downstairs to the kitchen where I see moms and Callie in deep discusion.
Callie's POV:
"You can alway come back. Our door is always open to you. You will never be without a family again Callie." Mom (Lena) tells me.
"Thank you. I really appreciate that. Thank you for everything that you have done for Jude and me. I couldn't ever repay you. You have been the family that I have always wanted and never had. I love you guys." I say through tears. God, why am I so emotional? This is not a good sign.
They both have tears in their eyes, "we love you too," they say and then pull me in for a huge hug. It's exactly what I needed, a hug from my mom... or moms. My mom couldn't be here to help me through this, but she's in my heart and now I have three moms and two of them are with me and that is better than any other girl could ask for in a mom.
Brandon came over to us from the doorway where he was standing. I saw him watching our moment and smiling. He says good morning to moms and then comes over and joins in our hug. Then Mariana, Jesus, and Jude come in. The twins and Jude laugh at all of us. Jude looks a little scared at the fact that Brandon and I are hugging in front of moms. I think Brandon notices and lets go of me and moms.
After breakfast moms tell the twins to look after Jude while they take me to the doctor and drop Brandon off at Aidan's for a school project. They seemed to have bought it. I happy that they did because if not I don't know what I would have told them.
We arrive at the doctor's office and Lena signs me in. "So, why are you here?" I hear mom (Stef) whisper to Brandon.
"I'm her best friend. I'm here to comfort her if she needs it. What? Callie and I can't be best friends without your suspicion that there is more going on between us?" He whispers back in a demanding voice.
"You guys know I'm sitting right here and can hear you right? Stop bickering please," I say.
"Sorry," they say in unison.
"So how are you doing Callie?" mom (Stef) asks.
"Nervous. Very nervous."
"Callie Jacob's?" A nurse says. I take a deep breath and stand up. I walk over to her with Brandon following close behind. Normally I would have him wait for me in the waiting room and have moms come with me so they aren't suspicious, but right now I need him. "Hello. How are you doing today?"
"Um. I'm okay." I'm really not, but she doesn't really care whether I'm okay or not. I reach for Brandon's hand and he takes it willingly.
"Everything will be okay," he whispers as he squeezes my hand.
"So, how old are you two?" The nurse asks.
"Sixteen almost seventeen," I say.
"You guys are young. You must really love eachother," she says. What is that supposed to mean?
"We are best friends," Brandon corrects.
"Oh. You're not the baby's father?" She asks. Nosy bitch. God what has gotten into me? I'm so off of the charts lately with my mood swings.
"I'm here to see if I'm pregnant and no he wouldn't be the father if I am," I say harshly.
"I'm sorry if I offended you," she says and then she stops in front of a door. "Here we are. The doctor will be in in a few."
We walk in and she shuts the door on her way out. I start breathing real heavy. "Callie, I'm right here. You need to calm down. This isn't good for you and, if you are pregnant, the baby."
"I don't care. I don't want to be pregnant. I would be relieved, Brandon," I yell. I can feel my blood pressure rising and my face getting red. Then it sinks in what I just said. "Oh my God!" I gasp. "I'm such a horrible person."
He pulls me in for a hug and I sob uncontrollably into his shoulder. I don't try to hold back any noise that I make, I just let all of it out. Brandon rubs circles on my back and I just cry. I cry that blubbering, can't talk, hiccup cry. I'd been holding it in so long that I can't stop it, not even when the doctor comes in. After a half an hour of Brandon consoling me, I am finally able to stop blubbering like an idiot and stop shaking.
"Okay Callie. Let's find out if you are pregnant or not, shall we?" The doctor asks. I nod. She hands me a plastic container and I go into the bathroom. When I come out she tells me that she is going to be back soon with the results.
That soon could not come soon enough. Brandon just kept repeating that everything would be just fine as I cried into his shoulder again. After what felt like forever the doctor came back in. She had no expression on her face to give away the news.
She sat down in the chair across from me and looked me straight in the eyes. "Callie," she started still not giving anything away with her voice. "Your results came in and you are indeed pregnant."
