Mia.
I could faintly see light through my eyelids as my mind awoke. I laid there with my eyes closed for another two minutes before I finally opened them.
My body voluntarily flinched as I observed my unfamiliar surroundings. That's when I remembered I was in Grayson's room.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in and tried stretching my arms above my head. That's when I realized I couldn't move my right arm which made me start to panic.
I frantically looked down at my arm that was hanging slightly over the bed. I gasped quietly at the sight of Grayson laying on the floor with his hand intertwined with mine.
My heart fluttered and my cheeks turned a pink, rosy color seeing my small hand in his big, warm one. I decided against moving my hand just yet because I liked watching him sleep.
He seemed so peaceful and serene. I watched his chest rise and fall with every breath, I saw his eyes flutter underneath his eyelids and he would occasionally scrunch his eyebrows then relax again.
I soon realized I had shifted my body too far over the edge of the bed and it was too late to prevent what was about to happen.
My body came plunging down from the mattress right onto Grayson's sleeping body. Well, he's defiantly awake now.
"Oomf" I said when our bodies made contact. His eyes shot open wide and then shut tight in pain.
A deep groan escaped the back of his throat as he grabbed my hips and picked me up slightly so I could lift my knee from his groin.
"Grayson, I'm-" I frantically tried removing myself from his shirtless chest but his grip was too tight. "I'm-m so sorry, o-oh my gosh I'm-"
"Mia," he chuckled in his raspy morning voice. His eyes lingered closed as he held onto my body that was still pinned on top of him.
"Y-you're not m-mad?" I asked stuttering my words. His left eye opened and he began to laugh again. I looked at him confusedly which only made him laugh even harder.
"Yeah, I'm so mad a beautiful girl such as yourself woke me up by laying her insanely beautiful body on top of me," he winked. His voice was still husky from his sleep, so his words only made him a thousand times hotter if that's even possible.
"Oh..." I responded.
He just called you beautiful and you can't even say thankyou?
"Uhh.." I mumbled as I climbed off of him and stood to my feet; adjusting Grayson's shirt that fell to mid thigh on me. Gray sat up on his elbows and looked me up at down before shaking his head.
"Hey.. can I ask why you were, um.." I started but decided it would be too awkward of a question. "nevermind, it's nothing".
"No, now you have to tell me" he responded smiling. He looked up at me with those big, warm brown eyes and I could feel myself trembling under his intense stare.
I took a deep breathe and sat beside him and leaned against the side of the bed. "Why were you sleeping on the floor anyways? And... h-holding my hand?" I asked nervously.
He didn't say anything for awhile. He just looked down at his hands and bit on his bottom lip in deep thought.
"You were saying you were scared and whimpering... you were having a bad dream and I-" he paused. "I just wanted to calm you down so I held your hand and you stopped".
