"Are you kidding me right now?" Marcus yelled, his eyes wide and dazed. "You could've killed yourself!"
I rolled my eyes, "Since when did you care?"
"What made you think that was a good idea? Fighting 5 monsters at once?! Are you trying to die?" Spencer asked me.
The scratches and cuts were starting to get worse, and I was starting to wobble. "It's fine, look I took care of them! I'm fine!"
Zoey looked at the scar on my arm, "Emera, I don't think you're OK. Look at your scar!"
Carlyn rushed over, "Emera we need to help you now, the poison is going to spread."
I waved her off, "I'm-"
With that I toppled over, getting Chase and Tyler to stop my fall. "Emera, we need to get you help, thank goodness I've gotten the cure," Spencer said, rummaging through a first aid kit. "I'll be fine, you guys don't need to worry-" I fell back into Chase's arms.
"Look, if we don't help you now you will die," Carlyn said. "You need to save Jason, so we'll need you alive."
I stayed quiet.
Spencer had a 2-inch needle filled with a dark blue liquid. "Emera, this is gonna hurt. A lot."
I rolled my eyes, "Tell me something I don't know."
"This is no time for sarcasm, Emera!" Bailey muttered.
"Whatever," I muttered.
"OK, Spencer, Zoey, and Stacie need to stay here. Everyone else gets in the other trailer." Carlyn ordered. Everyone else walked out of the room. Talia gave me an uneasy glance, "What are we supposed to do?"
"Try fixing the roof, oh and cover your ears," Stacie suggested.
"We're going to need to put one injection in her leg," Spencer said, readying the needle. I'm usually pretty good with needles, but this one probably jittered my nerves a bit.
"Uh, you guys I- YEAOOUCH!" I screamed.
Spencer jabbed the needle into the back of my leg as Carlyn stuffed a rag into my mouth. Spencer injected the serum as my screams became muffled and I cursed into the rag.
"I'm sorry did you just say 'muffin fluffer chip priss man witch'?" Zoey asked.
"No!" My muffled scream went through the rag as Zoey squeezed my hand. "OK, OK, ow that kinda hurts, OK just-ow- oh OK let it out-ow," she muttered. It sounded like I was giving birth. The poison and serum were spreading through my veins in my leg. The nasty gash was starting to look less like a zombie gash.
"OK, we've got to get your arm now," Spencer said. I frantically shook my head, my hair going side to side.
Stacie and Carlyn both leaned me forward as the serum was injected into my neck and arm. The gag fell out of my mouth as I started cursing. "HOLY MUTHA FUCK! FUCK YOU SNEP! MISTA POTTA SMART WATER! EAT VOLTAGE! CRAAAAAAAP! I'VE ALWAYS HATED YOUR MOTHER UGHHH!"
Eventually, they finished it and Stacie was quickly healing me. I calmed down and took a deep breath. Stacie was about halfway through when Carlyn stopped her. "You need to go easy on the healing. Too much can have bad effects. We'll continue in an hour."
Spencer and Stacie went out and entered the other trailer. Carlyn looked over at Zoey, "You keep an eye on her."
Zoey nodded timidly as Carlyn left. Zoey flashed a smile at me, "The worst is over, at least."
