Jason's POV
Pristine zapped me with the ray gun thing for the umpteenth time. It dinged-that was new. Her eyes went wide with shock as a smile grew. She rushed over and pulled out a small orb-a marble. It was swirled silver. She laughed and looked over at me. "Tell me, Jason dear. How do you feel?"
Honestly, this time, I felt worn out. Deadbeat. Like... drained. I growled at her.
Pristine went over and looked at Molly. "Dear, why don't you see Jason?"
"B-but..." Molly glanced uncertainly at me. I glared at her. Did she call this love? She was a fool! Being tricked!
"Trust me, you'll be fine." Pristine walked over and within the seconds, I heard my door being unlocked. Pristine pushed open the door freely as she walked back in front of the glass. Molly timidly walked into the room. "Hey, Jason." She pushed her big glasses up. "Are you still mad?"
I growled at her. "What do you think?"
"Jason, please..." She glanced back at Pristine. "Go ahead, Jason. Do your worse," Pristine wore a smug look as she looked down on me. Molly's eyes widened as she took a step back, her arms in front of her.
I summoned lightning, to scare her out of the room. Only to find... nothing. Was I that tired? I snapped my fingers, flicked my wrist, everything. My droopy eyes widened.
Pristine cackled. "Nothing, right?"
"What did you do?!" I yanked against my chains, my strength fleeting away.
"Oh, simple experiments. I'm a scientist, even after all these years. I've simply placed all of your powers in this simple pill," she held up the marble. I stared in horror. "You..." My jaw went slack. No. No, this couldn't be happening!
"You know, if your little girlfriend ends up surviving my Daemones-oh wait. I didn't tell you about those? Well, those 'Failures' as Jackson would call them, they're after your friends. Though, if Emera exceeds my expectations again, well I suppose I can use some more pills." She laughed. "Oh, but don't worry darling. I've got plenty of other surprises up my sleeve. And I won't take the pill just yet, of course. It's still fresh and needs to cool down to go into a new So- I mean, body."
"You monster!" I yelled, my strength was being sapped away from me. I didn't need this exposition! "What-why?!" I asked.
Her face became serious. "Believe me, I didn't want to use you. But, you were the one Britney took. Though I would have preferred Emera." She growled Galaxy's name with pure hate. "In short, revenge. Greed. Hate. Perhaps love? I have my reasons, and they're mine. It motivates me, and that's all I need."
My head drooped down, and I felt myself slowly drifting off.
"Nothing is as it appears, Jason..." Pristine muttered, before turning to Britney.
With that, I fell asleep.

Emera's POV
I hopped out to the back, dragging Chase with me. "Come on Reed!"
"Don't call me sugarplum, by the way!" He yelled back.
"Get the fuck over it!" I shouted. This Daemon was bigger than the others. WAY bigger!
"Code white! Code white!" I shouted.
"What's code white?" Bailey asked, opening the door to the back trailer. A hole opened as the Daemon Police Officer's ugly face peered in. "You never answered!" He smiled, showing his big black jaws.
