I woke up to someone shaking me.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" Someone was screaming in my ears, shaking my shoulders to where the blankets were falling off the bed.

"Nggggg . . . FUCK OFF!" I grumbled, throwing a pillow behind my back and burying my face into another.

"EMERAAAAAA!" someone screamed.

Suddenly I felt the cold water splashing onto me, soaking my back and running down my hair and neck. My clothes started to cling to my body as I quickly sprung outta the bed and tackled whoever was in the direction where the water came from.

I ended up tackling Jason, as we tumbled onto the carpeted floor.

"Oof!" We both said, knocking our heads together.

I was on him, and shit this is weird. I scrambled off of him then slugged his arm. "Owwwwwe!" He groaned, rubbing his now red arm.

"Why the hell did you wake me?!" I asked him, wringing out my damp hair.

I looked around and realized everyone else was here too. "And why is everyone in my bedroom?!"

"Well, our powers!" Bailey squealed.

I was wide awake, but my mind was still groggy. "What? I think we found out we had powers a long time ago Bailey," I said.

"No no! Watch!" Richard said. He put a hand on Bailey's shoulder, and they both turned invisible. I widened my eyes in disbelief.

"Wait . . . " I said. I was speechless.

Remember?

I heard Carlyn's voice in my head. Cool, she can use telepathy now!

"Oh, wait OMG guys! It- wow!" I  said.

"That isn't all!" Zoey turned to my windows, and instantly the clouds turned a dark grey and started trickling water, then steady, then pouring. She snapped her fingers and it stopped, back to what it used to be.

Tyler grabbed her hand and they teleported to the other side of the room.

Marcus started having a blue shine from his eye, a small amount of ice. It transformed into a frosty icicle that was quickly melting. It didn't last long, but it was more than he was usually capable of since it was bigger than him.

"Frozen dildo" I whispered.

He crushed his hand, and the staff snapped into two frozen sticks, dropping to the ground. Before it hit the ground, though, it turned into a flurry of snowflakes. It melted into the ground, not leaving a single damp spot.

Jason started making a massive water orb, a floating ball of water. He made hand movements and it twisted into a spiral, before spinning upwards and into oblivion. He stared into Stacie's eyes, and her eyes burned a golden color. He blinked, and her eyes were back to normal.

Stacie smiled, and everything froze, including us. Time froze, ten we could move, but only very slowly, and she waved her hand and we were all moving at top speed. She made the 'stop motion' with her hands and we were once again in regular time. I myself felt like I had just run 50 laps.

I looked over to Chase. He was closing his eyes and standing still. "I can hear a fly breathing." "Where?" I asked him. "On the side of the house."

Well damn!!

"Your turn!" Zoey said, jumping up and down, clapping her hands, all the while giggling.

I stared into a mirror and felt something on the inside of my head heating up.

My hair started floating upwards, flickering about and imitating a flame. Suddenly my entire body was on fire, my hair sticking up on ends being the top and flickering dangerously. The clothes didn't burn, and I just felt like I had a slightly higher temp. I seemed to be giving off a light.

I spun around to face my friends, and my hair fell downwards to frame my face. The fire died down instantly.

I closed my eyes and imagined the room as a jungle. I opened them and there it was! Wet trees and vines hung from the ceiling and birds and monkeys could be heard in the distance. The ground was soil and critters were everywhere. Everybody looked about in amazement at the detail.

I blinked and the room was back to normal.

Lastly, I rose up all the furniture at once, letting them be closer and closer to the ceiling, then putting them down again.

"They fixed the glitch," Carlyn whispered.

"Glitch? What do you mean?" Stacie asked.

I took a deep breath.

"Guys there's something I need to tell you..." I started.

"OMG Emera! I can't believe-  we're- a simulator, what?!" Tyler stammered.

I explained everything to them, and Caryln said the part she remembered when she was taken here.

I told them everything apart from the fact that Spencer loved me. That kinda stuff, but they knew he was my friend.

"Why would you keep this from us?" Marcus asked.

Carlyn answered for me. "They wanted her too, otherwise, it could've ruined the experiment like what Pristine intended."

We told them what Spencer told me.

"I guess you're right. We're sorry for being so hard on you Emera," Zoey apologized.

I smiled and accepted the apology.

"Are you guys mad at me?" I asked them.

"No," everyone answered.

"Emera, you had to go through a lot when you were there, with the Pristine bitch and that fighting arena thingy and finding out the truth about this place. You're lucky you had Spencer to help you with that stuff," Chase said.

I awkwardly chuckled, "Haha, yeah . . . he helped a lot . . ." The boy I just ended any non-platonic feelings with.

"I still can't believe it . . . this is all a simulator . . . we're experiments . . . it's just . . .unbelievable!" Bailey muttered.

"Well, you better believe it bitch!" I laughed.

We laughed the rest of the day and experimented more with the new powers. I stared at Jason a lot, wondering when later on in the day I would tell him.

When will I tell him the truth about what Spencer and I once were? Would he be angry? Or not care?

What if I tell him I loved him? Would he accept my feelings? Or choose Stacie instead?

A part of me was saying he was going to pick Stacie and I shouldn't have let Spencer go. The other part of me was saying if I really love him all I would want is his happiness.

"Jason? Could you, uh, come with me to the garden? Near the blossom tree and swing?" I asked him. He smiled up at me, beamed actually. His eyes stared into mine, and I could feel my heart go at the rate of a hummingbird's.

"Sure."

With that, we walked to the garden, and I was scared if I could go back. I was scared. So. Very. Much.

I kept trying to calm myself down. Take deep breaths.

This is it.
