Chapter 6:
Luce’s P.O.V:
Waking up the next morning, I luckily didn’t feel like I’d been in world war dinosaur which I was rather grateful for. Because seriously that pain sucked…really big style. Yawning and stretching I was thankful all my limbs happily responded to me painlessly. Looking at the clock it read 9am and I was tempted to roll back over and trying to fall back to sleep, then I realised that was probably lazy of me and I should probably drag myself out of bed. So I swung my legs over the side of my bed instead sadly. Standing up I knew I wasn’t ready to face the people outside the door, least of all Jax but I also knew I couldn’t hide in my room forever. Plus ruins the fun of a good game of hide and seek if you remain in the same hiding spot all the time, because to be honest that’s just asking to be found. But just because I knew I couldn’t hide in here all the time, didn’t mean I couldn’t delay myself a little by taking a rather delightful shower. Yes that is what I will do. So with this in mind I grabbed some clean underwear out my draws on the way to the bathroom.
Locking the bathroom door, I stripped down and turned on the shower, waiting patiently for the water to heat to the perfect temperature. When I deemed the water perfect enough minutes later I stepped inside the shower and revelled in the feeling of the heated water on my skin. It always seemed to wash away even the clingiest of stress worries no matter how attached they thought they were. The pesky demons. Grabbing my grapefruit scented shampoo I washed my curly red hair into a lather madness giggling as the bubbles floated down and I popped them with my nose. ‘Because you know that’s the adult way to deal with soapy bubbles’ I thought continuing to giggle to myself. After several moments I realised I was probably being rather childish and the temperature of the water had dropped slightly. So taking that as my cue I quickly washed off the shampoo, applied conditioner and washed my body with my matching grapefruit body wash before then rinsing off the conditioner and sadly turning off the shower. Once the shower was off the cold hit me so fast it nearly sent me dizzy. I quickly dashed out the shower and dried myself on my awesome giraffe towel. Luckily the more I dried myself, the warmer I began to feel and with moments I was warm once more, the sudden chills evaporated as if they never existed. Rubbing down my mass of tangles that consist of my hair I decide to leave them to run wild down my back once they become damp instead of dripping. Dropping my towel to the floor I throw on the underwear I brought with, before dumping the towel in the hamper and unlocking the bathroom door.
Peering out the door suspiciously even though its my room I looked out to make sure no one had snuck in while I was showering. I know it seems strange, but after walking in that time to find Jax on my bed, you can never be too sure. That and you always have to be cautious in case of sneak attacks when playing hide and seek, especially when playing an intense game of werewolf hide and seek to which I am playing. Deciding the coast is clear, I ninja roll into my room, which I must admit probably looks strange. Not because I’m ninja rolling, because well with me that’s the norm, but it probably looks strange because I’m ninja rolling in just my underwear. So on that note I think it may be time I visit my closet to acquire some more suitable clothes. Heading into my closet I looked around suspiciously before looking through my clothes. Deciding on a pair of purple skinny jeans and a white cami, teamed with white converse I glance in my full length mirror and decide I will do. Though to be honest black would of probably been a better colour for hide and seek, but you know I like a challenge. Stepping outside my closet my stomachs rumbling decides what I’m to do next, so with a stomach to fill I head downstairs and through the living room hoping not to run into anyone. Least of all Jax. As I walked into the living room I couldn’t help but remember someone had made chocolate cake for my birthday and I had yet to actually devour a piece. Or at least I don’t remember devouring a piece. So with this in mind I decided that would be the food to which I would devour when I got into the kitchen. But just when I thought I was doing so well at escaping everyone I heard the voice I’d been dreading.
