Chapter 24:

Mya’s P.O.V

I was nervous. I wasn’t going to lie. I was packing the last few things I would need for my few days with Luce. I don’t think Damon was even aware I was actually leaving. I had still been avoiding him and I actually think he’d given up trying with me. But right now I was fine with that. Pissed off about it, but fine all the same. I was looking forward to some time away, might give me some time to truly clear my head so that I can possibly make up with Damon when I come back. Well providing he doesn’t want to kill me for just leaving for several days without informing him where I’m going. But if he remembered why we were arguing, then maybe he’d work it out where I’d gone anyway. Either way I wasn’t bothered. I get some free time with my girl. I missed her so much. And with that in mind I shut my bag with my clothes quickly, and head out my room. I smile at Alex as I leave out the back door. He nods and smiles. He’s aware of where I’m going and he thinks I’m doing the right thing, even though he wanted to walk me to where I’m meeting Luce. But I convinced him I would be fine, because afterall our meeting point was still on pack territory. I waved at Alex, before running into the woods, shifting into my black wolf and picking up my bag in my mouth, bolting into the woods to go and meet Luce.

‘Luce’ I scream through the link because well I’m in wolf form. Luce chuckles. “Mya!” she screams back. ‘I’ve missed you!’ I send through the link and she chuckles again. “I’ve missed you too Mya, but we have time to catch up now. Best get going” she says before she shifts in her red wolf and bolts off into the woods. I chase after her, feeling like were playing a game of chase rather than heading to a vampire’s den. Oh how I was worried about meeting the guys. Anxious wasn’t even the word. ‘We will be fine’ My wolf purred and I nodded. She didn’t seem rattled by where we were going and I trusted her instincts. I caught upto Luce and nipped her tail playfully. She turned and wolfy grinned at me before pushing herself forward and bolting away faster causing me to shake my head. I bolted after her but I just couldn’t catch her. But she’s always been faster than me when she put her all into it. Hell she was even faster than the Alpha. Which admittedly was strange. No one in a pack is usually faster than the Alpha. So yes it was strange. But anyway. Moving on. When Luce began to slow down, the nerves kicked in. Luce grinned at me, then shifted back into her usual self, throwing on some shorts and a white cami vest. She made it seem so simple. Me? I ran behind a tree, shifted back and finally threw on some short combat shorts and a white vest. What can I say, I’m not body confident when it came to shifting in front of people. Even if it was Luce. Actually if I was sure it was just Luce I wouldn’t of minded, but I wasn’t sure if any of the guys were around. 

I walked back around the tree to see Luce stood wrapped in the arms of a godly man. “Mya, this is Caleb. Caleb this is Mya” Luce says sweetly. I smile nervously and say “Hey Caleb” weakly, feeling rather nervous. “She’s rather quiet” another voice said. I looked around to see another godly man appear. Sheesh these guys were amazing. I can see why Luce wouldn’t want to leave. If I didn’t have Damon, I wouldn’t want to leave either. I mean oooosh. These guys are yummy. “It’s strange I usually can’t get her to be quiet” Luce says chuckling. I shoot her a glare making her chuckle more. “Now now Mya. Let’s not be like that. Your supposed to be my friend!” Luce says pouting. I shake my head. “Don’t even try that one Luce. You know I’m immune now!” I say laughing. Causing both guys to chuckle as they look between us. “You will have to teach us how to become immune” the guy not wrapped up in Luce says. “Ah. That might cost you” I say with a wink, surprised in myself for suddenly feeling confident. ‘We are an Alpha Female. We should feel confident’ My wolf stated and I nodded in agreement. “Oh really. I think I might be willing to pay that price” he says with a wink and I can’t help but blush. “Abe. Mya. When you guys have finished flirting. I want cake!” Luce whined looking between us. “I see you haven’t managed to get over your cake addiction” I say chuckling. Luce looks at me innocently. “I don’t know what you mean Mya” she says sweetly. Before chuckling and heading into the house with the other guy hand in hand. ‘I wonder what’s going on with them two’ I thought. Determined that I would get it out of her later. But for right now it was best I didn’t interrupt cake time. I knew how savage she could be if someone did. I didn’t fancy seeing that to be fair. So instead I skipped inside the house behind them.
