So I have another chapter for you guys to read for those of you still reading this story...and to those that are...THANK YOU SOOO MUCH, You guys are AMAZING!! :D But anyway this is the 2nd to last chapter...the next one after this will be the LAST chapter...followed by thee epilogue ofc! Chapter 42:
Jax’s P.O.V
“Morning sunshine” that irritating voice belonging only to Kaiden cut through my half asleep state. I growled. “Nice to see your as pleasant as ever” he says smugly. “Fuck you!” I spat back as I opened my eyes to be met with the light that shines in through the door to the cells. I gasp slightly and step back away from the worst of the light. My eyes too sensitive to deal with the light after being in the dark for however fucking long I’ve been down here. “I’m come to bring you good news. No wait I’ve come to bring you news that’s not good for you. But is for those who have to deal with you.” Kaiden says and I growl at him once more. Because seriously this guy pisses me off so easily. I swear he just gets off on irritating me. “I see your being ever the conversationalist as usual. Never mind I will tell you anyway.” Kaiden says in a rather irritating cheerful voice. Like he’s really fucking enjoying himself. ‘I mean sheesh someone get him some fucking pitchforks so he can stab me too like they used to with bear baiting. I’m sure he’d fucking love that!’ I thought sarcastically as I awaited his next words. Not that I was really interested. But the quicker he got on and said what he’d come to say, the quicker he’d fuck off and leave me in peace once more. “So yeah. Luce and friends are coming here today. Which means tomorrow is your judgement day” Kaiden says and I don’t do anything. I just freeze. Tomorrow is judgement day? I mean yes I've been waiting around for it so then I can be free of this fucking cell. But now its so close, I’m suddenly a little afraid. And what does he mean she’s here? ‘Why the fuck is that fucking slut and her fuck buddies here for my judgement? That makes no fucking sense!’ I thought bitterly. “Ah I knew you would love that information. Anyway, here is your daily porridge. Enjoy.” Kaiden says, sliding a bowl of foul porridge into the cell. I just snorted and turned my nose up at it like I always did. “Like I’m really going to eat that shit” I mutter. “Well you either do or you don’t. Doesn't bother me either way” Kaiden says, and with that he heads up the steps and out the door. Closing me back into the darkness once more. Leaving me with my own thoughts once again. Thoughts of the judgement that is occurring tomorrow. And thoughts as to why that fucking slut is here. Sighing I kick the bowl of uneaten porridge over in frustration, watching as it crashes and spat’s against the wall. I then slide down the opposing wall and sit with my head in my hands. Praying tomorrow will come quickly so I can be free of this fucking place.
Mya’s P.O.V
“Morning sleepy head” I hear Damon’s voice cut through my sleep haze as I open my eyes to bright daylight. I groan slightly and close my eyes. “Can I go back to sleep please” I beg, going to roll over and go back to sleep. “Not a chance princess, you are the one that said Luce could come over today. So you can meet her and occupy her” Damon says and I groan. “She isn't coming until later” I mutter still half asleep. “Mya. It’s 2 in the afternoon” he says, humour in his tone. “What!” I practically scream as I sit up bolt right in bed, looking around wildly. “Why didn't you wake me!” I scream at him, almost accusingly. He just chuckles. “Well you seemed like you needed the rest. You have to remember your pregnant now. You are going to be more tired than normal” he says like it all makes sense. Which in a way it does. But I wasn't having it. ‘Being pregnant is not going to make me lazy!’ I thought as I swung my legs over the end of the bed and stretched. “That is not the point. You should have woken me. This baby will not make me lazy!” I say defiantly, causing Damon to laugh. “No. It won’t because your already lazy” he says chuckling. I pick up the pillow off the bed and throw it at him. It hits him straight in the head. Silencing his laughter almost instantly. And being the cause of mine to start. I fell back on the bed in laughter at Damon’s slightly shell shocked expression as he looks between the pillow in his hands and me. “You. Threw. A. Pillow. At. Me.” he says each word individually. Still clearly in shock. “Your observant” I say before getting up and heading to the wardrobe. “But why would you do such a cruel thing. And to your mate as well” he says, mock shame in his voice. I just snort. “Maybe because said mate called me lazy” I say simply, while shrugging and taking the clothes I’d just pulled out into the bathroom with me. Locking the door behind me. Leaving Damon alone.
