Chapter 41:

Mya’s P.O.V

“Luce. Luce are you still there?” I asked her through the phone. I mean it had gone quiet on her end and she hadn’t answered what I had said next. ‘She’s probably lost in her thoughts again. She does that a lot’ I thought as I imagined Luce staring into space as she does. Completely forgetting she is even on the phone with me. “YOUR FUDGING PREGNANT!” was the screamed reply I got. ‘Well she’s still there at least’ I thought as I shook my head as I imagined Luce bouncing up and down with the phone. Because that’s how excited she sounded when she just said that. “Yes Luce. I am.” I say to confirm what she’d clearly been figuring out herself. I chuckled as I thought about what sort of thought process she would of gone through to come to that conclusion. Not a normal one. That was for sure. “Why didn’t you tell me!” she said, sadness in her tone. “Erm Luce. I am telling you” I say chuckling. She sighs. “You know what I meant. You should have told me sooner!” she says and I shake my head. “Well I would have but you wanted the not so awesome news first!” I defended. “Woah. Don’t try and pin this on me Mya” she says seriously and I can’t help but chuckle as I can imagine her giving me her serious raised eyebrow face she likes to use a lot. “Are you laughing at me?” she questions sadly and I sober up. “No no Luce. Just imagining how you are looking right now” I say simply. “Well you wont have to imagine because I will be fudging showing you my disgrace tomorrow!” she says seriously and I chuckle as I know she will do just that. And people will probably think she has gone insane for it. But they know Luce. They know she is insane. So all is well. “Alright I will take your word for that one” I say chuckling. “Too right!” she says and I chuckle. “Anyway I am going to have to love and leave you. I need to tell Damon about your arrival tomorrow and get everything prepared.” I say. “No. don’t tell him. Takes all the fun out of it” she says and I chuckle. “If I don’t inform him he might have you captured” I say simply knowing he’s always on alert for rogues and well Luce is technically a rogue seems though her new pack is technically a coven of vampires but yeah. “Oh that could be entertaining” she says chuckling and I can’t help but role my eyes. “I’m telling him” I say simply. “Being Luna’s changed you” Luce says in a serious voice. Like something you would say to someone who had just come out of jail. You know when they say ‘prison changed you’. But yeah. “If you say Luce” I say chuckling. “I do. Goodbye traitor” she says before I’m met with the dial tone. ‘Yeah. Love you too Luce.’ I thought sarcastically as I put the phone down and headed to find my mate.

Heading outside to the training field I spot Damon and some of the male pack members heading towards me. “Mya. You know your not allowed to undergo any training sessions in your condition” Damon scolds as he reaches me. “Do I look like I’m dressed for training. Seriously?” I question motioning to the denim shorts and low cut white vest I have on. “Well no” he says, confusion forming on his face. “Then why are you here?” he questions. “I was looking for you dummy” I say rolling my eyes. “Oh” he says looking a little sheepish. “It’s okay I will forgive you for your outburst. This once” I say narrowing my eyes at him. He grins and takes me into his arms. Kissing me softly. “Thanks babe” he says and I shake my head at him and roll my eyes. “So what did you want me for?” he questions and I chuckle. How to break this to him lightly. “Luce and friends will be indulging us with their company tomorrow night” I say softly. “But judgement day isn’t until the day after” he says a little confused and a little pale faced. Because well he knows the havoc Luce can and will cause. And well I don’t think he was quite ready for that. He was already going insane what with Alpha roles and mate roles and now a baby on the way. He was more stressed than me. And that’s hard to accomplish because I’m always stressed. Though right now I was felling pretty mellow. “I know that. But she wanted to be here so we could begin first thing” I say shrugging. “Oh your loving this ain’t you” he says and I just grin. “Don’t know what you mean” I say innocently. “Sure you don’t. So you don’t know that I know Luce will cause havoc while she is here. Havoc I could do without?” he questions and I shake my head. “Nope. Didn’t have a clue” I say sweetly and he shakes his head. “Nice try babe” he says kissing my forehead before we turn around and head back inside.
