Chapter 18:
Jax’s P.O.V
I pulled away from Molly quickly and looked into the heartbroken eyes of my mate. I sighed. I’d fucked up. “Luce…wait!” I say desperately as she turns to leave. “Why. So you can humiliate me some more!” she spat and I could tell she was hurt with the way her voice cracked at the end. I just wanted to turn back time right now, change the events of the past month. I mean what happened hadn’t even been intentional. That and Mya had been giving me hell about it. Now I wish id headed Mya’s warnings. I hadn’t even realised it was a month today for god sake. Man I was screwed. The look on Luce’s face right now was breaking my heart but it also showed she wasn’t going to forgive me. And that hurt more. “Luce please just let me explain” I begged her. “What so you can try and convince me that what I just saw was a mistake?” she challenged. I shook my head. There was no point in denying what she just saw. Lying wouldn’t help me here. “Please Luce” I begged. Yes I said begged. “No. I shouldn’t of come back. This was a mistake!” she said before bolting out the room. I tried to chase her but Molly clung to me and I didn’t have the heart to push her away. I’d already hurt one girl today. Well I say one girl like she’s nothing really when actually she’s everything. I look towards Molly and wonder what I ever saw in her. I mean she’s amazing looking don’t get me wrong. Her blonde hair falls straight down her back, her blue eyes sparkle and she’s skinny enough but not too skinny. But well she just didn’t compare to Luce. That much was evident when they’d just been in the room together. The girl my wolf had allowed me to have before suddenly dimmed in comparison after seeing Luce again. I sighed and Molly hugged me. “What’s a matter baby?” she purred causing me to sigh more. “Nothing babe. Nothing at all” I said simply wishing it was someone else I was talking to. “Do you want me to make you feel better like I did last night?” she said winking but I shook my head. “No. Look sorry Molly, I just need some time alone right now” I said simply pushing her backwards softly. She pouted. “But babe” she whined and I just shot her a look to which she quickly nodded and shut up. Backing up to sit at the breakfast bar. I stood and headed to my room quickly.
Entering my room I realised it still smelt like sex. I sighed. I shouldn’t have slept with Molly last night. But I couldn’t resist her. She’d been helping me all this month while Luce was still away, making me smile for the first time in a while and basically stopping me from moping around the house. So naturally we’d got closer. Then as things do when you have an unmated male and female wolf and no sign of a mate, things escalated and it went from a hot and steamy make out session to mind blowing sex. I was actually surprised my wolf had allowed me to go that far with Molly. Before he always bitched that we were suppose to wait for our mate. But last night he’d not uttered a word. If anything he’d pushed forward just as much. I guess he really was just a hormonal wolf. And now because we were both too hormonal and let our hormones rule we could of just cost ourselves our mate. I sighed again and headed for the shower, needing to get the scent of Molly off of me. As I was heading towards the bathroom I was just thankful that Luce didn’t know Molly and I had actually had sex. Because that would just make things worse. I just hoped Mya wouldn’t say anything. But she had no reason not to say anything. I sighed again and decided to try and clear my mind while getting a shower so then I could have my thoughts collected before I went to try and talk to Luce once more.
