Chapter 37:

Mya’s P.O.V

“You know, you didn’t half look tasty covered in chocolate” Damon purred in my ear. I just rolled my eyes. “That was days ago now. Seriously stop bringing it up. There was nothing tasty about what Luce did to me!” I state looking at him seriously. He just chuckles. ‘He would find it amusing’ I thought shaking my head. “Anyway. Aren’t we leaving today? So shouldn’t you be like getting ready?” I question as I note he is still just dressed in boxers. Not that I was complaining about the view or anything. But well I was anxious to get home. Being the Luna, I didn’t like leaving my pack without its leader influences for too long and we’d already been here over a week now. I know, bad Luna staying there for more than a week. But I was so worried about Luce. She went through a lot at the hands of Jax and I felt guilty about it. So I had to make sure she was really okay. And now I knew she was, you know with the whole chocolate incident the other day. She was definitely fine. “I should. But I have a better idea” he says winking and walking towards me. “Oh no you don’t you horny wolf. Our pack is waiting on us” I say surprised at myself for actually managing to be a voice of reason in this situation. ‘Wow. What has happened to me?’ I thought as I watched Damon’s face drop. “But…Mya” he says and I just shake my head. “And your suppose to be the Alpha” I say in a tone that implies by disgrace, but I knew he knew I was only teasing him. He drops his head to the floor like a child when they’ve just been told off and I can’t help but laugh and find him adorable. “Aww poor baby” I say in a baby voice and he just looks at me and growls. I chuckle. “Okay let me rephrase. Aww. Poor puppy” I say smirking. He did not look impressed. “I ain’t no pup!” he whines and I chuckle. “Your behaving like one” I say simply before I turn and walk out the room in search of Caleb and Luce to tell them we are leaving today.

Walking into the office I find Caleb but no Luce. “Where’s trouble?” I question and Caleb chuckles. “I’m assuming you mean Luce” he says amused. “Was it that obvious?” I say grinning. He nods. “She’s with Abe I think. But with her you can never be quite sure” he says looking a little worried. I just chuckle. “What can I help you with anyway Mya?” he questions, his voice becoming more serious. I straighten my face and sit down in the chair across from him. “I am just here to inform you that we are leaving today.” I say simply and he nods. “And the prisoner?” he asks and I nod. “He will come back with us. It’s only right his punishment is given in his pack territory.” I explain and he nods in understanding. And I can’t help but find it strange at how at ease I am while talking to a vampire shifter. ‘What a bizarre set of circumstances these have been’ I thought as I looked at Caleb. “Do you need any help getting everything prepared for your leaving?” he questioned and I shook my head. “Just the keys to the cells when we leave” I say simply and he nods. “Just don’t forget to say goodbye to Luce. Otherwise all hell will break loose” he says chuckling. I laugh. That sounds about right. But I had no intentions of leaving without saying goodbye. It was bad enough I was leaving her again, let alone not saying goodbye. “Don’t worry though, hell will be remaining safe on this occasion. I will be saying goodbye to her” I say and he nods still chuckling. “Is that all?” he questions and I nod. “See you later” I say before standing and walking out the office, going to sort out everything ready to leave.

Luce’s P.O.V

“Ah Luce. It’s nice to see you not coated in chocolate” Abe says chuckling as he walks into the kitchen to where I’m sat nursing a hot chocolate. “That was not my fault!” I defend and he just chuckles. “Plus. You know you loved me covered in chocolate” I say winking at him. He just chuckles. “If you say so Luce” he says before making himself a coffee. I couldn’t help but shake my head at him. “What?” he questions. I just point at the coffee. “You are going to look like fudging coffee if you continue to drink so much of the stuff” I say and he chuckles. “I think I would look good as coffee though” he says teasing. I just snort. “What you don’t agree?” he questions and I shake my head. “No one would look good as coffee” I say simply. “I think I could pull it off” he says smirking. I just roll my eyes at him. Sometimes that guy ain’t half fudging full of himself. “So what you doing?” he questions as he pours his drink. “Oh you know slaying zombies” I say sarcastically. “Really. Wow they must be invisible then” he replies just as sarcastically. I just glare at him. “Well you shouldn’t give a sarcastic answer” he says and I shake my head. “You should have asked a stupid question then!” I defend and he just chuckles before coming to sit next to me. I shuffle my chair away slightly. “Now come on Luce. Don’t be like that” he says softly. “Like what?” I question mischievously. “All shuffley” he says and I can’t help but laugh. “Shuffley? Really?” I question and he nods grinning. I just shake my head. “Oh poor little Abe” I say in that awesome patronising tone of mine. He doesn’t seem overly happy with it.
