Chapter 40:

Jax’s P.O.V

I had lost count of how many days I’d been stuck in this hell hole. But I did know it had to be quite a few because my wolf was growing restless and demanding a run. Something I clearly couldn’t give him. Because oh yes I was stuck in a fucking cell. So instead he continued to pace in my head. Which honestly was beginning to irritate the life out of me. I mean yes I understood he hated our current situation, hell I despised it. But what did he honestly want me to do about it? There was nothing we could do until this so called Judgement day came around. Then we had a chance at freedom. Oh and to make matters worse the arseholes were hardly feeding me anything so my stomach kept rumbling and I felt weak. Which I despised. I hated being weak. That and Kaiden was having the time of his life playing around with this fucking shock collar around my neck. Me. I was just pissed off. The conditions they had me kept in were worse than usual. It was disgraceful. Especially when I was a member of their pack. But that apparently didn’t matter because that slut came first. You know the one that isn’t even a part of our fucking pack anymore! I sighed and collapsed against the wall just as the door to the cells opened and light filtered into the very dark room. It made my eyes burn. I mean I hadn’t really seen much light in god knows how long. So my eyes had adjusted to the darkness. Therefore the light was blinding and harsh to my eyes. And I would swear they opened the door that much deliberately. Which it wouldn’t surprise me if they had. They were cruel like that. 

“Ah. I see your still living then. Shame” Kaiden’s voice came down the walkway to my cell. I sighed. ‘Just what I fucking need’ I thought bitterly as I heard Kaiden approach. “So…having fun?” he questioned. His tone clearly showing his amusement at the situation. “Oh yes. The time of my life” I replied sarcastically. Which only served to make him laugh and me more irritated. “Oh damn you still have your sense of humour. You must need more shock therapy” Kaiden says before he shocks me again. You know just for a fucking change. “Gee thanks” I said sarcastically. He just chuckles. “Judgement day will occur in the next few days. I hope your ready” he said before he chuckled and walked out. Leaving the cells to fall into unlimited darkness once more. I couldn’t help but punch the wall in front of me. I hated him so much. He always managed to wind me up so much. That and because he has a sick sense of humour, he always found a reason to shock me too! It wasn’t fair! I sighed again and laid my head against the wall as one thought came through my mind. 

‘Guess I’m just going to have to fucking wait this out. So then we can get to judgement day and I can be free of this fucking cell!’

Luce’s P.O.V

Waking up the next morning I couldn’t help but feel content for the first time in days. My head didn’t feel as much of a mess and I certainly didn’t feel as tired. ‘Where has this sudden change come from’ I thought as I sat up to stretch. Well tried to. The moment I tried to move, arms wrapped tightly around me. Preventing me from moving. And not just any arms. No these arms belonged to one yummy guy. Caleb. But yet I don’t recall letting him in. I looked towards the door, to see there no longer was a door. ‘What the fudge happened’ I thought. Just then all thoughts from last night came crashing back through my mind. The thoughts, the pain. So much pain, then blood. So much tasty blood. Then…oh god…then amazing sex with Caleb. So that’s why he’s in bed with me. Well that makes sense. Seeing as though Caleb was still sleeping, yet clearly not letting me get up I decided I would have to take matters into my own hands. Quite literally. Picking up the pillow I’d had my head on, I lifted it above my head and slammed it down on Caleb‘s. Who in turn jumped up startled. I chuckled and quickly threw the pillow on the floor to remove all evidence. “What did you do that for!” he accused and I chuckled. “Do what for?” I asked innocently. “Oh no you don’t little slurpie. That little innocent act won’t wash this time. There was no one else in the room” he says simply and I look at him. “How do you know there wasn’t. You were sleeping afterall. They could of slipped in, bashed you over the head and slipped back out again. Like ninjas” I said seriously. Caleb just chuckled and rolled his eyes. “You come up with some of the strangest things” he says. “Oh come on. We both know you love me for it” I say sweetly and he chuckles. “If that’s what helps you sleep at night, you keep telling yourself that.” he says chuckling. I whack him one just as Abe comes through the door. “Erm…well I didn’t anticipate you being here. Then again, should of guessed you would be with the lack of door” Abe said and I chuckled. Caleb just scowled. “Did you want something?” he questions. Abe chuckles and winks at me, clearly enjoying how easily Caleb gets jealous. “Yeah actually I wanted Luce.” he says with a wink and Caleb growls and I roll my eyes. He should know better than winding Caleb up. I mean I only just get away with it and I’m his fudging mate!

“Abe. Behave winding Caleb up. He will eat you alive if you don’t” I say wrapping my arms around a slightly irritated and jealous Caleb. I feel him soften under my touch and I can’t help but chuckle slightly at how easy he gives in to me. Literally. “Okay. I’m sorry” Abe says grinning. “But Luce. I really did come for you. Mya’s been on the phone. She wants to speak to you” he says and I nod. “I shall ring her back when I’m dressed. Thank you” I say softly and Abe nods and grins before winking and walking out. “You know, sometimes I would swear he has a thing for you” Caleb mutters when Abe left. I just sigh. “Nah he just loves winding you up. Because well you make it so easy for him to do so” I say chuckling before standing up and out of bed. Because well I was curious as to what Mya wanted me for. And well I couldn’t curb such curiosity without first getting out of bed and dressing. “MMM. Looking sexy little slurpie” Caleb purrs as his eyes rake my body. “Keep your eyes and hands to yourself little vamp fox.” I say and he chuckles as I head to the wardrobe where I’d put some of my clothing. Finding some clean underwear and some grey skinnies and a black vest, I pulled them on quickly. Desperate to get to that phone call. Now dressed I stepped back out the wardrobe. “You know I preferred it when you had no clothes on” Caleb says with a wink and I just shake my head. “Your such a guy!” I say as I head for the door. Or should I say doorway because well it seems to be missing the door at the moment. “Oh and you might want to fix this while I’m busy” I say grinning before I walk out the room, hearing Caleb muttering to himself.

Heading into the kitchen I was actually surprised to find no one sat in here stuffing their face. Or Abe not sat nursing a coffee. It was a little strange to be honest. But I shook it off all the same. Wanting to know what Mya wanted me for, more than I wanted to find out where everyone was. Which is bad prioritising I know. But hey ho! Don’t judge me! I’m just naturally curious okay! So anyway. I headed for the phone that was on the handle on the kitchen side. Picking it up I dialled the only number I actually really knew. Mya’s. Waiting for her to answer was like a form of personal torture. Its like she knew I was desperate to know what she wanted me for, so she was deliberately dragging it out. I sighed in frustration as the phone continued to ring. In fact I was just about to slam the phone down when the ringing stopped and Mya’s voice came across the line. “Hello?” she asked. “Mya. I have word that you wanted me” I say back and I hear her chuckle at my choice of words no doubt. “Your word is right. I have things to tell you” she says. “Well don’t leave me fudging hanging…spill women!” I said excitedly and I heard her chuckle through the line. “Okay. Do you want the awesome news first or the not so awesome news?” she questions and I ponder this for a moment. Which granted consists of me standing there stroking my invisible beard in thought. “Well?” she questions when I am yet to give her a response. “The not so awesome news. Because then least I can have the awesome news after to cheer me back up” I say after some more pondering or should I say invisible beard stroking.

“Okay…well the not so awesome news is…Damon wants Jax’s judgement day to be in two days” she says and I gasps. If he wanted it in two days, it meant I had to face him in two days. ‘Was I ready for that?’ I thought as I worried my bottom lip with my teeth. ‘Of course we are. We will make him suffer like he made us suffer’ my wolf piped up and I nodded. “Okay. Caleb, Abe and I will be there tomorrow night so then were there already for judgement day to begin from morning” I say. “Yes. That is fine” she says clearly not comfortable with the topic. Not that I blamed her. Hell I couldn’t wait to get my revenge. But that didn’t mean I liked the topic all the same. I mean that psycho had me tied up in a fudging basement and he tried to rape me for fudge sake! Shaking my head from them thoughts I decided to change the topic before this conversation became tumbleweedish. “So, What’s the awesome news then?” I questioned. “Well…Luce. How do you feel about being a godmother?” Mya questions and I can’t help but feel confused. ‘Godmother? What the fudge was she on?’ I thought as I bit my lip. “Erm…godmother?” I question and I hear Mya chuckle. “Yes Luce a godmother.” she says and I can’t help but feel like that cleared nothing up. ‘Oh wait because it fudging didn’t!’ I thought. “I would be honoured I guess” I said, still feeling rather confused. But not really sure what else to say. ‘I mean why in thee world would she be asking me this? Unless…’ I thought my mind going into serious overdrive. Then it clicked…
