"NO!" Potter roared, jumping over Lucius' motionless body. Racing past the hospital beds, Potter screeched to a stop when he faced Ginny's body. Falling to his knees, Potter sobbed, clutching Ginny's limp hair in his hands and bringing them to him face.
"Oh Gin, Gin, I always loved you, and I know you loved me too, I'm so sorry..." He cried.
Draco just sat there on the bed, frozen.
"Get that body OUT!" He heard Snape snarl, as Madame Pomphrey levitated Draco's father to a seperate chamber.
Flinching slightly at the sound, Draco heard another body fall to his knees. Ron Weasley's. Ginny's sister.
Five years ago, Lucius Malfoy nearly killed Ginny Weasley through giving her a cursed diary. Today, five years later, he had succeeded.
My father, killed the love of my life.
An iridescent tear collected in Draco's bottom lashes.
My Gin, died for me. She sacrificed herself, to save me.
As he sat there, he barely saw Dumbledore slowly prise Potter's shaking hands off Ginny's dead body, and take him away.
Granger began crying.
As Dumbledore and Potter exited the room, Granger suddenly cried, "Wait!" The two men, brother and boyfriend turned, all eyes red and wary.
"I forgot, I... I did the spell, Headmaster! She should still be alive!"
"Yes, Miss Granger!" Dumbledore cried, and Draco stood immediately.
"She's alive?!" He gasped. Suddenly, Granger's mouth dropped open as if she had realised something important. Covering her reaction quickly, she nodded her head.
"The Sleeping Beauty curse! It's almost parallel to the spell Harry's mother envoked on him, the day she died for him! The spell shows Ginny in a state of death, so people assume that she's dead! But... Hence the name, if kisses by the person she gave her heart to, she'll awake."
Draco stared at Granger, as they both gulped simultaneously.
"She... My sister's alive," Weasley mumbled to himself. He turned, wide-eyed to Potter. "Harry, you know she's loved you all her life, kiss her!"
"Ginny," Potter whispered, as he flew past Weasley, Granger, and Draco to Ginny's body. Lifting it off the cold floor, Potter gently set her down on the bed. "Oh Ginny," he murmured, stroking his face. Draco closed his eyes as he heard the sound of the wrong man kissing his girl. He waited, still eyes shut.
"It... It didn't work." Potter stuttered.
Draco looked up just in time to see the Headmaster give him a strange look. Dumbledore left the room, calling, "It must be another boy, then!"
"SHIT!" Weasley yelled, pacing up and down, staring at his sister's body maniacally. "Who could it be?! Dean? Michael? Neville?!"
Granger and Draco remained silent.
"I thought she still loved me," Potter murmured.
"How can we get everyone here? We'll have to call up every guy in Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw to kiss my sister!" Weasley exclaimed. "As if it'd ever be a Slytherin- no offence, Malfoy. I'm really grateful that you caught her, by the way." He added.
"None taken," Draco murmured, wondering what in Merlin was he going to do.
